Thats one think about I am thinking atm - Of course with Genji Glove (or this thing that allows you to hold 1 Weapon with 2 Hands, which I would recommend you if you want to use best weapons - because best Weapons are unique) I am thinking over to use it with Genji Glove, and Equipping Effect Swords like Break Sword or Striker or Thiefknife. The reason is quite simple: Offering decrease the damage per Strike, but with extra effects you can take an advantage with the high amount of attacks, right. If you would get (afaik you can only get 1, but maybe in colosseom) 2 Thief knives, I guess it may would be the most effect way to steal items? plus you can also use shadow for this who is earlier re-avabiable in the WoR if you have saved him. Or what about Break and Doom-effected swords? Casts spells for no mana and - I hope so - very often and also if it doesnt do it inflicts good damage. What do you think about it?

The offering does NOT work with spell swords (Flame Saber's fire, Soul Saber Doom, Illumina's Pearl.) They work after the strike It DOES work with 'replacements' like the insta-kill weapons that have the 'X' out effect, like the Assassin and Wing Edge as well as the Tempest's Wind Slash.

Truth be told, I'm not sure about Thief Knives. I always thought that the only real use for the Thief Knife was with Gogo (nothing but fights) trying to steal Economizers from the bird in the collsium. (Pearl Lance - Strato and vice versa)

I prefer to use the Offering with either Locke or Setzer.

Setzer's Fixed Dice is far more useful (it ignores the Offering's damage penalty, as well as almost everything else). I knocked out about 28,000 of Gilgamesh's 36,000 in one Offering Fixed Dice attack with him.

Locke's got the Genji Glove, Valiant Knife combo, ignores defense and does good damage. Just boost his Vigor and HP (through equipment) and he gets some use.

The Gauntlet lets you hold one weapon with two hands. Genji Glove lets you hold two weapons instead of one and a shield. In that case I would choose Genji Glove/Offering Combo. The Offering penalty doesn't matter much when you can attack eight times. The weapons depend on the character. What I would do with Locke is put him in the back row, put Thief Knife and Wind Edge. Increasing his defense and not decreasing his attack power much, or keep him in the front row and equip him with Atma, Illumina, or another powerful sword with the Thief Knife. Those are just a few options that I do.

What I do normally (since Sabin is my favorite) is give Sabin Genji Glove and Offering, and Tiger Fangs. If you work on strengthening him with Esper bonuses, the Offering Penalty is not a big deal.

Hrmm, is there a weapon in FF6 that allows for a double attack with just that weapon, like Twin Lance in FF5(i think), if so, could you dual wield that via genji, making 4 attacks, then get offering for a total of 16 attacks ohmy.gif

No such item in FF6. Even in FF5 you couldn't use the 'two Twin Lances with X-fight MADNESS!' Wouldn't work.

I have to disagree with Blitzsage. Sabin has Blitzes, he doesn't need the offering (or weapons really, doesn't have any good ones anyway), all Sabin needs is magic power up the ying-yang, put him in the back row and use Wind Blade and Bum Rush and watch the devastation.

well the best combo is to have two ultima weapons equip them to a really high lvl character and equip the offering and genji glove, so no matter what when u start out u always hit 8 9999 damage hits
