where do u find shoat?? am havin trouble with it

You can only find Shoat (or Catoblepas, whichever) in the second world. You have to try and get under the "northern lake" in this map while underwater in the submarine: Galuf's World. You can find Shoat in a random encounter in the forest surrounding the lake.

As a sidenote, does anyone know if the encounter rates for Ramuh and Shoat are bumped up significantly so that it's hard to miss them when you're in the right area?
I know that these random-encounter summons came surprisingly easily for me. I'd get them within the first several battles. Edit Sheesh, davey, it's like nigh-impossible to read what you wrote! Use some normal spelling, please! kwlk thanks a woz in the third world so that wud make sense why a cudnt find it. a woz gettin help from summit on the internet 2 find it (so a new the random encounter thing) but it DIDNT explain that it is only in the 2nd world

yep i will use proper english what i was using was msn messenger talk (i dont know if any of you have heard of msn it is sort of like a chat rooms thing only better with better options aswell). sorry if it caused trouble

Buddy, I don't mean to be rude but we weren't born yesterday; I'm pretty sure almost everyone here (?) is aware of what MSN is.

okay ive read his ability somewhere hes only supposed to cast stone on one enemy, crap because most enemies at the point im at are immune to stone. (most of the time im fighting stone enemies
