I need to figure out how to beat it. It is so damn frustrating! also tips on finding level 5 death. thanks in advance-- Nate

I don't remember having problems with them, have you tried using GP Toss, a samurai ability? I used it all the time on various enemies in FFV, so maybe it's worth a try.

And for the LV5 Death you'd better check it in the site's coverage for FFV. You should find there some info about Archeoaevis too.

samurai is a earth crystal job I cant get to the earth crystal without beating the archeoaevis because it is the earth crystal boss. thanks for the help though!

The ancient library is the place to get Lv 5 death. The blue headed, horned page (i forget what page it is) casts lv 5 death, so level to an increment, and rock out! Get Darkshok on crescent island, and with that combo, you can darkshok + lv 5 death him the first time,

Anyway, I beat Archeoavis! I figured he'd give me more fits than he did, but as a blue mage I got the upper hand easily.

Darkshock + LV 5 Doom = 1/3 down

Vampire X 1,000,000 (couldn't cure the poison quick enough, so every attack had to be, and it was substantial b/c I was so low on HP = 2/3 down

Lv 5 Doom = 3/3 down

That's how I did it with my Single class, single character challenge.

Page 64 is the demon head thingy that casts lv 5 death.

a cant remember havin trouble with it. a cant remember how a beat it either . a think a just used me normal team with a black mage a white mage and 2 physical attackers . isnt archeoaevis the 1 which u battle then it heals itself so itsw sort of like round 2??

Most annoying boss... EVER.

After you've beaten it once, it recovers its HP and then becomes immune to the elements. Basically if you use a party full of mages you're screwed. Try going into the battle with 3 fighters and a healer.
