Zozo needed a late-game sidequest that would end the random encounters. I thought Jidoor was cool.

Oh, yeah, Zozo's cool. smile.gif I wish more towns had rain. It looks more like a town in the old west, kinda... smile.gif

Zozo annoys me. Took me forever to figure that I could jump from building to building.

Don't really have a favourite. Perhaps South Figaro? Narshe? Jidoor? (if that is the one with the auctions and Shadow's dreams).

I liked Zozo because it not like any other town. I like it's music.

I like Jidoor because of the auction house, opera house, (even if it wasn't technically IN the town,) and Owzer's art gallery. So posh.

But for some reason, My favorite, I think, is Albrook. I think it's because of the dancers in the pub, the pubs whole layout, and city as a whole reminds me (little bit) of Venice, for some strange reason.

Do you mean because it's raised? And the river passes under it? smile.gif

I like Albrook, too. It's also one of the coolest town names.

Narshe. I'm attracted to cold weather.

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
Unfortunately, it is sabatoged by beasts in the WoR. That might make it less desirable.

Nikea - cause of all the hustle and bustle in the marketplace, and it's really big port.

Jidoor - cause of all the snobby rich people and high class culture

Zozo - because of all the low-lives and rain

narshe - not the city itself, but the snowfields.

You mean a metal covered, smog infested, city full of unfriendly people is the right place for you? thumbup.gif

To each their own, I guess. It might be fun.

If I'm going to live there, Jidoor. It seems to be the only town besides Zozo that manages to survive unscathed from the WoB-WoR transition (correct me if I'm mistaken). The climate appears to be stable (it's not an ice-field or a pile of sand). And there's so much stuff to do in Jidoor: operas, auctions, art galleries, etc. Most of the other towns consist of an inn, the local weapons, armor, and supply stores, and random residences. Occasionally there's something interesting (the Caves of Narshe and the Veldt by Mobliz both come to mind), but you just can't beat everything that Jidoor has going for it.

Besides, it's the westernmost town on the map! How could you go wrong with that? biggrin.gif

Burrowing deep into a vast mountain range, shrouded by the steam from the hundreds of furnaces and pipes that sustain the town, Narshe hides ancient secrets within its countless mines and caves. One must journey across endless snowfields and maneuver icy precipices to find this cold and isolated town.

And then there's Zozo. This damp, delapidated ghetto is full of secret passages, strange riddles and suspicious characters. To get through this town, you must climb endless stairways, dangle from cranes, leap from building to building, face earth-shaking giants in dark alleyways, and avoid seductive slam dancers and dexterous thieves in dirty hallways and poorly-lit rooms.

These are definitely my two favorite towns.

What's the connection between Jidoor and Zozo? Didn't the former dump all of their misfits on the latter? That should have been developed more.

From what I know, or have heard, Jidoor sent away all of the criminals and misfits and they went to Zozo, which explains why everyone in Jidoor is rich. If that's the official story then they don't say it in the game, but it's implied. That's what is so great about the story of 6. Everything in the game means something or symbolizes something. Jidoor and Zozo are a perfect example.

I have to say, if Jidoor's plan to deal with crime is set up a city and let the crooks run it, my opinion of them really drops off. That's not a justice system, that's barbarism. Also - where does Jidoor get all of its money from? It's not trade; it doesn't even have a port. Something mighty fishy's going on there.

Give me Nikeah any day.

An auction house that sells their items for insane prices, an art gallery, and an opera house. That should be enough revenue for a town with about ten buildings.

My theory was that the Empire paid them off for swearing allegience. That could explain their wealth.

Yeah you're right. It is barbaric, but it goes well in the story. And I like it for that.

I like Nikeah too.

I always liked the town Strago is from. (i am TERRIBLE with town names, it was over a year since i played the game last)
the people there have some natural magic powers, they are kinda the guardians of the warring triads, decent strength monsters, the air there would be pretty clean since i didn't notice much machinery there, just the odd oven here and there.
