is it ok to delete temporary folder on windows?

I was wondering if it's ok to clear everything in folder
C:/documents and settings/administrator/local settings/temp folder. (using windows XP).
seems like i have a trojan there, but i don't know what file it is ><

It's usually safe to delete those folders, but you're probably better off getting some cleaning software to just target the problem you're having. It seems odd that you seem to know you have malware, and you know it's in your temp folder, but you can't figure out what it is.
