Why does he die as soon as he comes into battle?

Any battle? Check the menu out on the world map...is he dead there? might need a phoenix down.

thats pretty funny that he dies upon entering battle, could just be a bug from the cheats, did you use the debug mode or what?

I am pretty sure this has something to do with the cheats. No other explanation would make sense. I once used a cheat to get sephiroth, but it messed up my game. I had to erase the whole file for everything to work again.
