I need to know, I've been training my jobs for a while now, although I thought that Freelancers and mimes get the effect of non ! abillities without having them take up a slot, that.. doesn't seem to happen. I tried testing out by changing my job to a mime while looking at my 'Equip Katanas' abillity; strangely enough it STILL does not let me equip katanas.
Any.. uh guidance here? I just want to kick Exdeath's behind already This post has been edited by Ikwaylx on 10th April 2008 21:00 |

They get the effects of any Mastered job. I don't know if that's what you meant by training on jobs, but as far as I know, I'm not sure if equip abilities count toward abilities, but I guess that would only be relevant with the mime, as the bare class equips anything anyways.

Normal inherits most passive abilities, but I'm not so sure about the Mimic. (Even though the game says so.)

Mimic inherits abilities the same way that Freelance will, the difference is primarily in the fact that Freelance equips anything whereas Mime has a limited selection. I'd recommend giving the mime a setup that utilizes their equipment proficiency so you can put those sweet sweet three empty slots to a better use, like maybe, !white, !black, and !redx2. If you just want to go badass pwning Neo with ultimate weapons, use Freelance.

Hahar, I guess I need to level up a bit too, level 41 is.. probably a tad underrleveled since Algamest manages to kill off my healers. Thanks, guess I better get mastering some jobs. I'M SEARCHING FOR YOU MOVER! And in case anyone would like to make this team better, here's my main line up. Butz (Bartz just doesn't sound as cool GBA version..) Lv 41 Ninja Rapid Fire - 8 attacks are fun, will be even more fun when I power up that chicken knife. Lenna - Will be mime Lv 40 Summoner White (For obvious reasons.) *Dual Cast (*When I become a mime this abillity will be my saving grace.) Krile lv 41 Unspecified, just training random jobs Rapid fire Faris Lv 41 Will be Mime, but Time mage Time Black Dual Cast Yeah, I use the GBA version.. I can't be bothered to go into too much detail, but this is my usual line up. My final lineup will be the mages as Mimes and Attackers as Freelancers. off-topic: I disliked how any jobs but mimes and freelancers were pretty much useless in the last fight ;p

Haha, I beat Exdeath with flying colours. The only character who died was Faris, and she died right at his last attack so I didn't see the perfect ending.
My mages were mimes and my attackers were freelancers, I used a combo of Quick and Dual cast meteor for some.. pretty reckless damage. Although now that I'm at the sealed temple it's boring. Really boring, so I made a new file. |
