Edea had so much potential... Sigh... Why replace her with Ultemecia - she was so useless.

I'm going to have to go with Sephiroth, though I haven't played 6 yet.

He was great, but he's still a mama's boy.

Jenova wasn't even his mother, it was Lucrecia.

The whole mother thing is just a metaphor referring to the source of his power. Like the stereotypical Russian referring to his country as the motherland.

Besides, every guy has a strong maternal instinct, I think it's an interesting part of the human psyche to focus a villain on.

Fine, take all the fun out of it. I still agree with that Cosplay rant.

Gotta be Kefka, i just love his laugh.

If he wasn't there, it would be Sephiroth, but i just cant stand him once youve seen all the enemies who are so obviously based on him in other games....really makes you see what a mediocre enemy he is.

Yeah, Kefka's unique; Sephiroth's been copied too much. It makes him loose his luster as a one-of-a-kind villian. Then again, he's got to be good if he's been copied a lot.

Cid from FF XII. Great combination of genius and insanity, sprinkled with a dash of humor.

I love Cid from FFXII. He's driven by total madness, but there does seem to have a bit of humor in him. I enjoy all of his philisophical quotes, talking about how the reins of history is back in the hands of man...

And the way he yells "Asheila B'Nargin Dalmasca!" is funny. That voice actor really does it for me.

He is also very hostile towards his son. The way he acts toward Baltheir in Draklor Laboratory is priceless; he just calls him pirate scum and does not acknowledge him as kin, even though he has not seen him a long time.

Way back when, I voted for Kefka. I wasn't playing FFXII at that time, so I'm almost regretting my vote. However, Kefka is just the perfect balance of comedy and insanity.

Cid reminded me of Kefka. Great mix of comedy and genius/insanity. It's a great archetype for FF villians.

If this poll is supposed to aim for *only* the main villains of each FF game, then Golbez shouldn't be there...

He was a pawn to Zemus, who is the greatest and most feared of all evil in FFIV.

Anyways, I just have to say I really despised both Exdeath and Kefka with excessive amounts of hatred, because both are very evil and cruel villains.. They wouldn't even care if a little puppy was suffering down an alley, those heartless scumbags.

Of course they wouldn't care. That's why they're great villians. They look out for themselves. In fact, they would have kicked the little puppy when they saw it in the alley, and they would have enjoyed being called scumbags.

He was pretty good. Was he the main villian? I didn't play the entire game yet.

He just seems to be a follower of Vayne and Cid. I think, unless I'm not far enough yet. (Well, I am currently at Pharos, which seems to be quite far.)

Gabranth is pretty much a pawn, right?
