Maybe this was obvious to everyone else, but is the injured soldier in Mobliz the same as the soldier who offers to lay down his life to General Leo? He says that he fled when they were heading for Doma - but it might be an awkward translation, meaning that he fled when the poison hit. Any thoughts?

No, I don't think it's the same guy. I interpreted it as he fled becuase he did not want to fight for the Empire, since they raided his town and recruited him against his will. When he fled, he was branded as a deserter and dealt with as such when the loyal soldiers caught up with him.
