Now im sure most people here have atleast heard of, if not seen the Video of someone defeating Ruby Weapon with a level 1 Yuffie.... now to some people this might seem difficult, or just impossible... but i know there are a few of you out there that have achieved amazing feats worthy of discussion...

Now i doubt this one will compete very strongly, but this just happened and i thought it to be interesting...

So i start into Battle Square with Cid, 2nd or 3rd round in, I get transformed into a frog....so i look into my items.... and find nothing to cure my frogginess.... normally id just give it up, assuming that ill just die soon anyway....but... this was my last 10 gp... and i was about 8-9 thousand away from W-Summon.... having already bought omnislash..... the BP would have been useless..... long story short, i realized that my Cid was hitting so hard that he could still do semi-reasonable damage as a frog.... so i keep going......... next thing i know, ive just beaten though Battle Square.. as a Frog...

thats probably not the greatest story..... but id like to hear a few more....

i played through it without yelling at crappy chibi graphics, puting up with Barret (i REALLY dont like him...and no its not racist. his character seems rushed and under-developed), and didnt go....HUH?!?! at the story. not because it's confusing but because...well...its bad. save the world. never saw that before

thats a feat enough

Well it's not exactly an amazing feat but I beat some spanish guy's "world record challenge" for defeating midgar zolom, he did it with a lvl 11 party in 4 minutes 20 seconds, I did it with a lvl 9 party in 1 minute 20 seconds, here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHrqVv5-vWw
Not very impressive I know smile.gif I could've killed him in 1 hit but getting the chocobuckle to do that much damage takes more time than actually completing the game and it's just too boring continously running away from battles. Enjoy.
World record... lol.

I've done that before, Cid was level 38, and I was about to give up, equip the ribbon, and fight again. But then I realized that i could still use throw, so I threw some of the weapons I had kep since the beginning of the game, lo and behold perfect 9's
9999 9999 9999, so I decimated the opposition.

...man, do I love the Gogonga reactor.

and Rarthyr how many battles did it take to get to do that much damage, i knew about mindblow removing beta from the battle, but I've always ruled chocobuckle as worthless.

It IS worthless mate, unless you're prepared to spend hours powering it up, although it could be quicker if you use this combo, sneak attack-escape escape-all enemy lure. That'll shorten the time down but it'll still take a long time. I had to run from 1680 battles to get it to do that much damage, yeah it was tedious but atleast it makes a semi-impressive video. The use of bio was also lucky too. He was poisoned straight away , always good to exploit the weakness of your enemy ^^. Seems you guys use cid a lot for the battle square... is cid the best character to use for battle square?

It's a matter of preference, I just like Cid's personality and his multi-hitter limit breaks

Cid has the highest natural Strength of any character, and also has a weapon that's tied for the highest attack power (the Flayer). However, he lacks Cloud's magic using ability and Omnislash has a significantly higher base attack power than Highwind.

My best feat is probably putting up with all of the absurd popularity, fanchildren, and exposure that FF VII's gotten without coming to despise the game. In fact, I still enjoy it a fair amount.

I always used vincent combined with enemy skills simply because he's the best magic caster in the game (apart from aeris who we all know what ends up to her.) Just keep spamming those high powered enemy skills like beta/magic breath trine etc and the enemies drop like flies ! I also had deathblow paired with mp absorb to get some mp back if needed hehe.

I always used omnislash - mime, I was quite pleased with myself when I thought to do that.
An impressive feat that comes to mind is bailing it over the Zolom's marsh and getting to the other side without it catching me. I couldn't be bothered with catching a chocobo lol.

Also, well done Rarthyr on the world record there. thumbup.gif

The best i've done is beat Emerald Weapon with a level 50 team (no vid though.). I'm thinking about starting a No Materia challenge, if it's possible.

I don't think I have any feats of amazingness, except for the time I got lost going snowboarding. I didn't know that there was snowboarding in the Gold Saucer, so I decided to go back where you originally do it. I went down the mountain and couldn't find my way back. Don't ask how, that's why it's amazing. I thought I'd never get to finish the game.

As for the Battle Square, I always used my dearly beloved Cloud. Even though it took me all night, I managed to get enough points to buy stuff.

On my last play through I didn't use materia, but at that point I knew the game very well so it was easy. I still had materia equipped in order to level it up, though. Not sure if that counts.

I'd say the closest thing I've done to something amazing was collecting enough sources to fully max out all of Cloud's stats. I think the stats actually go higher than 255, but it doesn't show, which would mean my Cloud's STR was probably in the 300-350 range. At that point he would not do under 7k damage no matter what weapon he was using.

Another thing I did was spend enough time to get everyone their own set of master materia. I did that a couple different times on seperate games, actually.

The most amazing feat I have done is play through the whole game without buying or equiping new weapons. Yep, just kept the originals, Buster Blade and the rest (it's been a while since I have played so I can't remember the weapons) Not that I chose not to, I was just too young. Yeah, not too grand really, huh?

Rujuken, just so you know, the stats don't go higher than 255, that is the max.

I just sourced up yuffie to 250+ luck and dexterity then took on the battle square using conformer... no real feat since you avoid nearly everything.

Doom Of The Linving is great for BS

Wow, i must say that there are some genuinely awesome feats of amazingness here (bows down) i've never done anything remotely amazing hur hur, unless getting Cloud, Tifa, and Cid to race a Golden Chocobo at the Chocobo Square counts, but the Battle Square part was really quite tough, i remember having to beat several bosses without materia (All materia broken, the horror). But then again, so many others have done so much better with so much less here. biggrin.gif
