First time I've played this one and spent too much time training Minwu and Josef to lose both people lol. Is Gordon worth the time, magic, and equipment? I just wanna know before I give him more than what I've picked up in Kashuan so far

Gordon isn't in your final party, so training him shouldn't be a huge priority (if you're playing the GBA version, some characters that leave your party come back later, but not Gordon). If he can't survive anywhere, then train him up, but otherwise don't worry about it.
