Quote (Crazyswordsman @ 4th February 2008 07:09) Now, FFIX's cast, save for Quina, was much more fun. Quina was brilliant! He might have been a bit pointless but I thought he gave the game a more relaxed feel. More interesting than other characters anyway *Penelo*. I assumed Quina was well liked. "This big guy keeps making me fish, kupo!" "Catch another one." Quote (Crazyswordsman @ 4th February 2008 07:09) Although I will say FFIX has faster load time In the PAL version we play the game a fifth slower than everywhere else so, if I'm right, VIII would be faster; and we haven't a hope of getting Excalibur II. I know I'm being an arse but I thought those two would be worth mentioning. I totally agree that unique skillsets are a plus. Linearity is something that a lot of RPGs overlook or deem outdated, but, as in FFIX's case, it can be very effective. -------------------- Scepticism, that dry rot of the intellect, had not left one entire idea in his mind. Me on the Starcraft. |
