I have a question about whether i should use the economizer relic or Thamasa's Lost Magic relic (aka Gem Box for you old gamers). I know Dualcast can be helpful in cases where you need power quick, but that wastes lots of mana when i can just use quick while the economizer gives me one spell for minimum cost.

I'd go with the reduced cost. You get more bang for your buck over a fight.

One could argue that Osmose could replace the use of a Three Stars/Economizer, since enemies essentially give an unlimited amount of MP (especially in the case of bosses, who usually have some ridiculous number of MP).
Anyway, I usually stick both the Soul of Thamasa and Economizer on my spellcaster. Two spells a turn is really just too good. Before I get an Economizer, I'm usually using Gold Hairpins, so using up too much MP is never really a problem. -------------------- |

You can steal them from Aquilas in the Phoenix Cave (not recommended, they only appear rarely, and it's a very rare steal). Or you can win them from Brachosaurs in the Dinosaur Forest. Or, if you're playing the GBA version, you can find one in the bonus dungeon.

There is an easy trick to gain many of them.. Give Gogo three steal commands, the brigands glove and a safety bit, then bet a Murakamo at the arena, you will then battle that bird who you can steal it from. Gogo will eventually steal it and then mug the bird to death, (Sometimes he steal a phoenix down, so you just have to reset then) after that you just have to bet the Holy lance you won to get the Murakamo back, (You fight the death machine, he is usually no problem with the safety bit) then you can continue this cycle to get more and more Celestriads/Economizers!

Sometimes I like to power level in the forest where Brachosaurs appears and if you a spend decent amount of time doing that then there's a good chance you might get one or two extra Celestriads/Economizers. ![]() This post has been edited by Strideo on 26th December 2007 18:02 -------------------- The FF6*10 webring celebrates FF6's tenth anniversary with fanart (japanese). |
