I'm probably way behind the curve on this, as I always seem to be. In any event, Neal and I randomly came across this earlier today, and I thought it would definitely be worth sharing: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=HCBailly

This guy has done a ton, quite literally more than a hundred, of Final Fantasy compositions using the musical tool of Mario Paint (or, more accurately, a PC version using similar tools and the Mario Paint sound library). They're not all spot-on, of course, but if you, like me, used to play with Mario Paint's sounds constantly growing up, you'll appreciate this.

I haven't seen it yet. That's really cool. Makes me happy I got my SNES back and playable.

Wow. If you all like these, there's another guy on YouTube who does the same thing, but he's all over the video game spectrum. His name is "Tom Bob Blender" - here's his section:

This is so awesome.

What amazes me even more is that although I played with this music maker SO much back in the day, I never knew you could do sharps and flats.

Turns out it's not really Mario Paint. But the other guy that Asylum Outpatient linked uses straight up Mario Paint.

Sucks all the songs have to be written in c major though.

Ex-Death's theme is hilarious!

That's really an amazing feat. Just listening to the 5 parts FF6' ending made me want to play it again just to watch the ending.

EDIT : the Gilgamesh battle theme is incredible...
