What's with the onion knight, I mean when I first got onion knight it said I mastered it but I didn't and you can't even equip the abilities. Does anyone know anything?

Good stat growth, as far as I know, and they're awesome with the right equipment. But, yeah...no abilities. That makes me not want to use them.

I figured the Onion Knight should be a class that lets you choose both ability slots in addition to good stat growth. Oh well.

Sort of. It has no native ability set, and you can't equip any secondary abilities with them. It also has absolutely terrible stat growth at the beginning, but if the character using OK has eight other classes mastered, then the OK has the best stats in the game by a long shot.

Well, maybe by a medium shot, with Mimes and Dark Knights running around these days.

You "unlock" the OK by levelling Squire and Chemist to lvel 6 each. It has sucky stats.

If you master 14 job classes aside from Squire, Chemist, Dark Knight, Bard/Dancer, and Mime, then the Onion Knight will have awesome stats.

Either way, they can equip anything but have no abilities and cannot equip any abilities.

onion knight seems pretty noobish to me, whats the point of having a character with no skills?

If you get'em to level 8 and equip with the best weapons/armor you have you can use'em as an awesome uber tank for physical combat. though i suspect that when you happen to achieve it you'd have much better chars and other things to do rolleyes.gif

True, they have an amazing job class stat modifier, but what personal experience have you to claim a high stat growth?! P:

I'm currently using Bequeath Bacon to check just how amazing their _stat growth_ is. However, even if it IS amazing, it's in reality a completely useless stat growth, as Onion Knights cannot gain EXP. Therefore, they do not technically "grow". Hence why I'm using Bequeath Bacon to force them to level up, to compare the stat growth of an Onion Knight to another high-growth class such as, say, a ninja. For shits and giggles.

It's a geeky job, but someone ought to do it (despite the ability to just, y'know, go online and find it...). Breeding/sacrificing 98 Wild Boars is no small feat, and an interesting waste of time. :3
