Hi guys, I know this topic must already been ask frequently here... I play FFT on PSP .... I already follow all the instruction on the walkthrough. But I can't get the Masamune.

I use Beowulf to cast chicken on him twice already and hit elmdor down to 25% HP ....I killed his 2 bodyguard including the demon. Now I've been try this for 2 days ... I even can't rent one of his item like he's invincible or something... I set 3 of my party including ramza to use steal abiltiy.

I try steal his armor and other thing but still same result... can someone help me? maybe I leave some detail important stuff that I'm not aware. Maybe I should destroy his shield 1st?

the chicken is working only I can hit him easily with melee but I still can't steal antyhing from him except for Gill

You can not steal from Elmdor in the PSP version. As we don't claim to cover the PSP version, it's not an error.

Oh thank you very much for the explanation.... that's explain a lot... *sigh* so there's a different then between psp version and psx ... what other thing that change in this new version beside the text dialog, Black knight can be achieve, and now can't steal a thing from this Elmdor.

Well if I can't have masamune from him then there's no use I learn the skill because I'll never can use it.... that's a waste.

I read that some of you guys play this game both version the PS1 and PSP .... I hope you guys can help me. thx again...

You can still get Elmdor's equipment from the multiplayer mode in the game.

I'm not sure if you fight him more than once, but I'm at the first fight where he shows up with two assassin's, and I got sick of it and quit playing for a while. I'm trying to steal the assassins' stuff, but about 2/3 of the time, Rapha runs beyond the reach of my helpful magic and right into their claws... and when she is smart enough to hide behind my guys, something else goes wrong. I know it's just bad luck, but I got fed up with not being able to save post re-equipping and leveling my guys, and then there's the story to sit through...

Trying to make it through that mission with some steals isn't worth it, with a fragile Rapha around. It's much easier to just go poaching in Chapter 4 (which is only one battle away).

But yeah, you can now get the Masamune and all of the Genji equipment though multiplayer, or late in the game through Catching. I managed to get one from co-op, but I'm afraid to Draw Out with it; I need a spare.
