Okay, I didn't realize until recently that one has to use MogNet in order to access some of the bonus features in FFIII DS. So I tried talking to a Moogle to try it out, and I got error 51099. I went and checked this code on Nintendo's website, and it says the following:
Quote The only access point within range of your Nintendo DS is not configured or is not compatible with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (such as those found in many Hotspots). All I want to do is be able to send and receive MogNet messages (I'll troll for you guys' codes later). Did I miss buying some accessory when I bought the DS, or did I overlook whatever doodad comes with it? Any help much appreciated - just try and explain in the least technical way possible what I need to do. -------------------- You don't scare me, you talking blobs of oozing slop! There isnt really a doodad...I remember it being somewhat complicated to set up though. In order to really help i would need to know if the network your using it on is passworded or how everything is set up.

It's really not complicated at all as long as there is Wifi set up nearby. I could never get it to work with my router, but I couldn't get anything to work to that so that's alright. I could access wifi at a nearby coffee shop, though, without any setup, really. I just let it scan for nearby wifi access points and connected.
If you want, you can get the Wifi USB Connector for like $20. It was 20 here in Alfred, but in Rochester it was 30. Anyways, I got it and it works like a charm. It has never disconnected me or anything and the signal strength is fantastic. Plus, nobody can leech its connection because you have the option to deny connection to some users. And it only works with Nintendo products, so you don't have to worry about the entire floor of dorm mates connecting their laptop to it and slowing down Brawl matches. -------------------- Is PJ |
