Hi, my first post here blush.gif

First of all, sorry my bad english, I'm brazilian but I'll to my best with this so-so english tongue.gif

I'm about to finish FFVII for the first time (welcome to 1997).finishing disc 2, just need to jump over Midgar to get to the disc 3. Before that, I'm clearing a "to-do in disc 2 checklist", getting all the materia is available here, weapons, etc.

I'm stuck with some things here:

1) Getting some Chocobo Square items
Some items here are kinda rare (at least they are for me): sneak attack and maci counter. I don't know if it's easier to get them by racing myself or by betting on S class. I'm thying to get them by betting, but they rarely appear on the prize list, and when it happens, I rarely bet the right winners and when I do win, I always get one of the other two items on prize list, I never get the materia. I finally got a magic counter, took me hours, now I'll suffer to get the sneak attack sad.gif

Is there a easier way to get the rare items on Chocobo Square?

If two characters have sneak attack, both of them will do his attack at the beggining of the battles? There is a "only one sneak attack per battle" limit or something?

2) Getting some Enemy Skill attacks
I'm tring to get all the enemy skills available in disc 2 before proceeding to disc 3. However, there's a problem with Dragon Force and Bad Breath: they can me learned in Gaea's Cliff but I don't know how to go back there. Do I have to do all the snowboarding, glacier are puzzles, mountain scaling again, like we do the first time we get there? Isn't a way to get there easier?

The Laser enemy skill is learned withing the Gold Saucer prision, with the enemy Death Claw. How do I enter the prision again?

I think that's all for now, once I do that I'm able to go to the disc 3, the ending is near biggrin.gif

Thanks in advance thumbup.gif

1. no idea about sneak attack, but i'd just get a chocobo later on and do the race myself. You might want to make gold chocobo later anyways and that means you have to race (unless you choose to fight weapons ^___^ , but breeding's fun too...at least the first time through). So jus use your own chocobo to race.

2. U can get laser and dragon force later on disk3. and you can't go back to the prison. You can't go back to glacier either so it's too late for you to get bad breath-but then, you can always cheat xP

I do have the Golden Chocobo, but the rare items seem to be easier to get by betting than by racing wacko.gif

The GameFaq's Enemy Skill-specific FAQ says it's possible to get the Bad Breath on disc 3. Actually, all my missing skills can be learned in the crater, or so the FAQ says:

Quote
Bad Breath:

Effect - Casts confusion, frog, mini, poison silence, and sleepel on all enemies.
Pros - A very large amount of status changes which render many enemies defenseless.
Cons - Does not work on most bosses, somewhat expensive
Mp Cost - 58mp
Can learn from - Malboro [Gaea's Cliff, Crater]

Quote
Dragon Force:

Effect - Raises Defense and Magic Defense*
Pros - You take less damage
Cons - Somewhat expensive, targets only one target and seems to be ineffective.
Mp Cost - 19mp
Can learn from - Blue Dragon [Gaea's Cliff], Dark Dragon [Crater]

Quote
Laser:

Effect - A gravity based attack which takes one half of a single targets current hp away.
Pros - Cheaper than demi2 and has the same effect.
Cons - Only hits one target, most bosses are immune to gravity attacks.  Laser is also reflectable, this benefits you in no way though since it's a single target spell, thus, you can reflect it only once per casting.
Mp Cost - 16mp
Can learn from - Death Claw [Desert Prison], Dark Dragon [Crater]

Isn't there a easier way to get the Sneak Attack materia? Man, I just can't get it! It almost never appear as one of the race prizes, and when it is there, i always get one of the two other prizes. I'm trying to get it for days, I'm almost giving up my wish to all the complete materia set sad.gif
