This thread is for those who are too lazy/ don't have the time/ patience to write fan fics, but want to discuss what happens after the game to each character.

Terra: After years of putting off his courtship, Terra finally settles down with Edgar, bringing her children (The Mobliz kids) with her.

Locke & Celes: Become adventures. In their old age (read late 30s) settle down and become parents of three Children; Rachel, Cid, and Leo.

Edgar: King of Figaro, still. Settles down in his late 30s/ marries Terra.

Sabin: Becomes the new General of the Figaro army, training the warriors in the teachings of Duncan.

Shadow: Survives the fall due to the last energy of the esper he was equipped with. In a near death experience, Clyde has a vision of Baram, telling him to go on and live his life. Clyde reunites with his daughter.

Interceptor: Interceptor lives to be 200 years old...in dog years of course.

Cyan: After marrying Lola, Cyan oversees the completion of New Doma, with the help of Sabin and Setzer. Cyan takes Gau in as a son and tutors him.

Setzer: Opens a casino where Dragon's neck colosseum used to be. He employs Ultros as his receptionist and Siegfried as his personal bodyguard. Hundreds of Jidoorean Noblemen go broke in the Black Jack colosseum.

Gau: Gau is taken in by Cyan and properly tutored as a young lad. Gau never completely shakes off his wild ways though; Gau ruins many a fine set of clothes while chasing after wild monsters.

Mog: With the help of his big muscled sasquatch pal, Mog restores his people...The industrial ways of the now vacant Narshe long gone, Moogles live again as they did hundreds of years ago.

Strago: Strago dies 10 years after the game. Before he dies he completes his book In All My Years, and all My Travels. the sales of the book provide Relm with a stable future.

Relm: Relm grows up into a beautiful young woman and moves to Jidoor. There she meets a man named Clyde. Relm eventually deduces that it is her father, and spends years mending the broken relationship.

Gogo: Gogo travels around the world, in a quest to find him/ herself. Over the years, Gogo attends many weddings, dinners, and funerals for his commrades from the second war of the magi, but none ever learn who he truly is.

Umaro: During his time under Mog's mind control, Umaro develops a somewhat primitive sentience. Umaro spends much of his life trying to learn how to read, using a dog earred copy of Strago's Book "In all my Years, In all my Travels..." In his last year of life, Umaro finally reads it front to back, and dies content.

Minor Characters:

Cid: After the rebuilding of the southern continent, Cid is elected to the position of chancellor new Vector.

Duncan: Dies of pneumonia; names Sabin his successor. Sabin takes everything he learned from Duncan and applies it to his new role as military trainer for the Figaroan army.

Duane and Katrina: Duane and Katrina have 12 children; with the help of Figaro, Mobliz establishes

Ultros & Chupon: Ultros becomes the receptionist at The Black Jack casino.


Other lose ends:

The Returners & The Empire...where'd they go?: In the year between the end of the world and the start of the World of Ruin (in your game...when Celes wakes up) Banon lead a combined coalition of Returners and Imperial traitors to take down Kefka; all were slaughter.

well i agree with most, but the ones I think are different are:

Locke and Celes: They become the greatest Treasure hunters around, with Locke jr.

Shadow: Lives and settles the problems with his past and finally tells Relm who he is

edgar: Travels the world, with Setzer and goes to every town flirting with all the woman

Setzer: Still the Same old gambler

mog: Somehow gets lost in the Narshe mines for a few days

Strago: dies when they get back to thasma (Evil Hidon)

Relm: Does some of her own traveling and becomes a world reowned artist

Umaro: Gets a yeti girlfriend

Gogo: Gets eaten again by the worm (mwahahaha)

Here's some of my ideas.

Terra: For some reason, I've always imagined her marrying Edgar and having a bunch of kids.
Locke: Marries Celes and they go adventuring or something.
Edgar: Marries Terra, has a bunch of kids, and builds all kinds of wonky machines.
Sabin: I like the idea of him living in Figaro castle again. Maybe he could teach some of Edgar's and Terra's kids martial arts.
Cyan: Actually, I never thought too much about him. Maybe him and Sabin go and fix Doma and Cyan becomes king or something.
Shadow: Lives happily in the dead world with Baram.
Gau: He could move in with Edgar and Terra. Terra loves kids, after all.
Celes: Marries Locke and goes adventuring.
Relm: She could become a famous artist, painting pics of espers, etc.
Strago: Lives with Relm and helps her in her fame.
Setzer: Sets up an awesome Casino somewhere while flying around the world on the Falcon.
Mog: Becomes a wandering performer, dancing for peoples' entertainment.
Umaro: Lives in his sasquatch hole.
Gogo: Lives with Shadow and Baram in the dead world, since he did fall down that hole.

These are my Idea's.

Terra: Goes back to the Esper world with the people from Mobliz
Locke: Marries Celes
Celes: Same as Locke
Edgar: Returns to Figaro and invents some Airships or something.
Sabin: Leaves for the Coliseum Honing his Skills
Gau: Goes him and lives with his father.
Cyan: Returns to Doma and Prays everyday at Phantom Train for his Wife and Kid.
Shadow: Gives Relm Interceptor and Disapears Forever.
Relm: She Travels the world with Interceptor and Paints Monsters
Mog: Returns to Narshe, marries a Moogle they have 9 Kids.
Setzer: Stays in Jidoor and sometimes goes to Opera House to see Maria.
Strago: Goes to Thamasa and dies a year later
Umaro: Umaro goes to Narshe with Mog
Gogo: Goes to Fanatics Tower, never seen again.

This might sound kind of crazy, but I always thought of Terra marrying Bannon's son, who of course doesn't exist in the game, but I guess my imagination made him up. I do see her becoming a mother and raising a large family.

I'm sorry, but Shadow has to die. If you brought him back, it would just be sappy and weak.

I also envision Sabin starting a new martial arts school on the ruins of the old castle where you get Odin. I guess those ruins are out in an island somewhere, since the castle travels under a sea in order to bring you to the continent with the coliseum.

Interceptor sticks with Relm, but I think that she of all the characters would have the hardest time figuring her life out. Maybe it's material for a spin off, like Vincent's story was material for Dirge of Cerberus. I don't know, haven't actually played DoC. Could be interesting.

I see Setzer starting up another casino airship, and also some kind of an airlines system or something.

Celes and Lock marry right away, and Celes becomes a singer in the opera. She becomes very successful at it.

That's an interesting thought. So the Esper world doesn't cease to exist? I thought the point of getting rid of the magic was that the Espers and their world would irrevocably pass out of existence, at least in this universe. Why bring the kids with her?

Sabin and Edgar learn to share their burden in raising the nation. i dont think edgar and terra would work out.

locke and celes get married of course

cyan, overcome with greif. will he live alone, occasionally entering the world he once knew to help others from his fate.

strago raises relm

shadow forgives himself and joins baram.

setzer appears to have moved on in his own wild way, but still will have a soft spot and never will find another woman.

terra becomes an old maid. its contrary to what others have said, but i can't see her in a relationship with a man. she will be like a mother to many greatful children.

I remember a thread like this a while back.

~

Terra: Returns to Mobliz to raise her children & help Katherine & her husband. Eventually relocates to Figaro (with the remains of the town) to marry Edgar.

Cyan: Marries Lola (fathering a female child) & adopts Gau in order to raise him "properly". He passes down his teachings to the village which eventually takes Doma Castle. Legends are passed down long after his death of the legendary swordsman & his duel with Siegfred.

Interceptor: He completes his master's last wish & delivers a letter to Relm, explaining her parentage & Shadow's explanation. He then lives with Relm until the end of his days, fathering a few puppies, much to Relm's delight.

Relm: Takes in Interceptor & lives with the old Fuddy Duddy, primarily painting portraits of her adventures with the Returners, and sending a special portrait to her favorite Uncle, Ultros. She marries Gau after several years. She has three children with Gau.

Gau: Finds peace with his father & is taken in by Cyan, but still manages to find time to annoy Sabin. He learns how to control his urge to jump back into the wild, for the most part, and eventually marries Relm. They have three kids.

Strago: "Peacefully" watches over Relm, finishing his memoirs & recounting tales of his adventures from back in his day to the downfall of Kefka (two chapters dedicated to Hidon, of course). He dies peacefully in his sleep a year after the birth of his first great grandchild.

Sabin: Helps with the reconstruction of South Figaro, eventually taking Duncan's place as the Grandmaster of Martial Arts. And, of course, is Best Man at Edgar's wedding.

Chupon: Remains at the Coliseum & is cured of his horrible allergies many years later.

Ultros: Pays off his debt and goes about Jidoor making comments about his Octopus Royalty.

Edgar: Returns to Figaro, wondering why the Chancellor hasn't done his first & foremost duty of betraying him & attempting to take over the throne. He proposes to Terra after a long courtship, resulting in their marriage. They have 5 children (three daughters & two sons).

Umaro: Goes off with Mog to find the rest of the Moogles. After a successful mission he uses the bodies of Brachosaurs to create massive bone carvings of the final battle against Kefka (abstractly). Eventually finds a soul mate named Umara deep in the caves.

Mog: He & Umaro find the Moogle clan, hidden slightly to the left of Narshe. He reunites with his old love & they reclaim the entirety of Narshe, living peaceful lives as they slam dance in joy. Produces a large litter.

Setzer: Opens a Bar/Casino, making a fortune (enough to buy all of the pieces of the airship ). Marries Daryl & has a son as reckless as both of them.

Gogo: Turns out to be Daryl with amnesia. She fights to reclaim her memories, and marries Setzer, occasionally letting him fly the airship.

Locke: Marries Celes after a year or two of exploring the new world. They settle down in a rebuilt Vector, & have several children.

Celes: Still retaining the title of "General", she assumes control of the remaining Vector Forces, which rebuilds Vector a few miles from the old, broken Vector. She marries Locke & they remain together in bliss until the end of their days.

Lobo: Get's tossed into prison.

My ideas

Terra: Marries Edgar or gets Edgar to help her rebuild Moblitz, becomes the mayor of Moblitz and turn it into a large orphan town
Locke: Marries Celes, they hunt for treasure and eventually settle down with a few kids
Sabin: Gets a high ranking job in Figaro, general or someone in charge of the army. He brings Duncan along and they all train the soldiers until Duncan dies, then Sabin starts getting students that master it. The world gets to peace so Sabin starts a school with those that mastered the blitzaes near Figaro Castle.
Edgar: Rules Figaro for a long time, maybe gets married to Terra.
Cyan: Cyan also trains the Figaro army in swordsman ship and goes to the school with Sabin to train himself and others. Eventually Edgar helps rebuild Doma and Cyan goes there to rule over it. Maybe marries Lola.
Shadow: If he survived, he either comes to term with his past and mends his relationship with Relm or continues on as an assassin, or dies there
Gau: Goes to Sabin's school, teaches and learns, goes to Doma with Cyan and helps him out, eventually getting a high rank there
Celes: Adventures with Locke and marries him, she brings Cid to live next door to them in whatever town the settle down in (assuming he's still alive)
Relm: Becomes a famous painter, doing lots of work for Owzer and becoming very rich
Strago: Lives with Relm, write a book on his life. dies 15 years after the end of the game
Setzer: Makes a large casino next to the opera house, visits the opera house daily and becomes good friends with the Impresario (sp?), and after he passes away Setzer takes over the opera house and writes a few himself.
Mog: Goes back to Narshe to clear it of monsters and repopulate the Moogle race. Eventually Narshe becomes a moogle town.
Umaro: Lives in Narshe and helps to make a few more yetis that live in co-exsistense with the moogles.
Gogo: A. Goes back to the triangle island
B. Is actually Daryl with amnesia, she eventually finds out who she is and marries Setzer
C. Is actually Ghestal, he wanted to get revenge on Kefka without the ex-Returners knowing. He eventually reveals himself to them before his death.

... Kefka comes back and build a new floating continent and rebuild the statues and creates a mega, ultra, super, ultimate, incredible, superior ULTIMA mohaha....

Cyan adopts Gau and moves to Mobliz to help rebuild the place, becoming the mayor/leader of the town as it prospers. He lives to be 71 before dying of cardiac arrest.

Terra stays in Mobliz with the orphans and takes over Cyan's position after his death.

Strago writes a slightly exaggerated autobiography and dies of old age about two years after it's released.

Relm adopts Interceptor and continues to paint. When she grows up she makes a killing as an artist and marries a musician.

Setzer buys the Opera House and turns it into a hot spot, building on a casino and pub. The Impresario didn't want to sell it at first but when he saw the figure Setzer was offering him, he was all, "ggghhhhkkkkk~~ OwO" and accepts and retires to the FFVI world's equivilent of the Caribbean.

Sabin goes to Mobliz for a few years to train some of the kids in Martial Arts (as well as hang out with Gau and pester Cyan XD). When he returns to the Figaro area, he hears that Duncan is dying of an illness. He goes to Duncan's cabin and Duncan passes the torch onto Sabin.

Locke and Celes go adventuring together for several years and eventually get married when Locke's thirty-three and Celes is twenty-six(?). They continue to travel and whatnot for many years to come and because of this lifestyle, decide not to have any children.

Gogo continues to pop up randomly and confuse people about its origins (and its sex) for many centuries to come. XD

Mog's dancing talents land him some parts in Setzer's operas. The guy who usually has to play the Moogle is very relieved to hand in his Moogle suit and move onto bigger and better things.

Umaro does whatever yetis do after they're finished saving the world.

Edgar invents many incredible things, rules Figaro for many years. He doesn't find a queen until he's in his late thirties, but he ends up loving her very much and fathering fraternal twins (a male and a female).

Terra: Due to an unforseen complication of losing her Esper half, can no longer sleep. Spends three weeks in hellish wandering before she becomes unhinged. Tries to fix the statues, but seeing as all they have left of the statues is some dust that she unsuccessfully tries to mix with water, this doesn't work out very well and results in a lot of sneezing. Strago and Relm end up adopting her, so to speak, and putting her to sleep with an overdose of Strago's "cider" every night. She only lives for two months.

Locke: In the ending scene, he leans over the edge of the Falcon to vomit but leans a little too far. He falls headfirst into the Dinosaur Forest. He is NOT eaten by Brachiosaurs, but he does die upon impact.

Celes: Attempts suicide again after Locke's death by way of Strago's "cider." Attempt fails. Decides to work among the poor and hungry. At the age of forty, she marries an 18-year-old poolboy she meets in South Figaro and lives happily ever after.

Relm: Accidentally leaves Interceptor out all night on a busy highway road. He doesn't die, although he does die the next day of old age because he's like 20 at this point. Relm does not attempt suicide, but wastes her talent drawing portraits of dogs until she throws in the paintbrush before puberty is over. Has a shameful dalliance with Edgar when she's fifteen that disgraces him for life but wins her a successful paternity suit. Lives in comfort for the rest of her life.

Edgar: Kicked off the throne of Figaro; dies in ignominy. However, after his life-altering scandal (see above) he finds work as a male prostitute for (mostly) females in Zozo. As a result, he dies the happiest man on earth.

Sabin: Comes out of the closet. Otherwise stays the same.

Setzer: Comes out of the closet. Otherwise works among the poor and hungry.

Cyan: Becomes that "old guy" in clubs who just kind of sits there, nodding his head to the music and looking sad, until Setzer gives him a makeover. He falls in love with Gau's mother (who turns out not to be dead after all, only away on business) and they live happily ever after.

Strago: A recluse, he moves to the desert near Maranda and receives no visitors. Some spot him wearing a tinfoil hat, muttering to himself and drinking his precious "cider." May still be alive; no one knows.
