Suppose someone wrote a feature length movie adaptation of FF6, or adapted the story to a professionally done novel that was very faithful to the original storyline. Which monsters would be most essential to keep in the story? Obviously, Kefka would have to be in there, and probably the atmaweapon as well (even though he doesn't have a strong place in the story, he is an essential part of the FF6 universe), but what about the whelk, the tunnelarmor, the magroader, or any of the random encounter creatures? Should the dragons stay or go? What about doom gaze? etc etc.

Cut the random encounters, it would just be too.... random for a movie if you ask me, fighting monsters that have no relation to the story whatsoever. ''Hey look, a goblin OH NO ITS HOSTILE, LETS KILL IT!'' *kills it* ''alrighty, let's move on...
besides that, i think the bosses essential to reaqcuiring some characters would be important, like those ''octopus arms'' or whatever they were you need to kill while saving Edgar. Most of the other bosses would just be too random, like random encounters having no real relation to the story. And i think watching the party kill 8 dragons one by one would just be too boring ;p -------------------- All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Broccoli to die. |

now that is an interesting idea. we have yet to see a FFVI related movie being released. i mean they made advent children for FFVII but nothing for 6..
my input: the monsters that MUST appear- kefka ultros atmaweapon phantom train magimaster guardian 3 goddesses IAF/chupon doom gaze and a few interesting ones, although less important to the story: chadarnook cranes tritoch the 8 dragons really only count as one event, which is unlocking the seal. i would say it is a crucial event and must be covered in some way or the other, although it does not merit the span of 8 battles. -------------------- |

the 8 dragons are just too much.
you would want that ultros thing, but not 50 times like in the game (ok not quite, but you get the picture). i would want kefka, the goddesses, and, instead of random encounters, you would have to fight plenty of solders. also, doom gaze, phantom train and atma weapon, though i would add some background to atma if i wanted to put him in there. -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! If there had to be a must in "bosses" there would definatly have to be one of the most interesting bosses, artistically speaking, and what monster im talken about is non other than " No.024" and the "MagiMaster". I think there should be a story behind the unspoken boss.

Would you REALLY have to have the whelk? I mean, he's not much of a monster, and he doesn't ever really come in again after you defeat him.
