The Damcyan Tragedy
I don't know how many of you has a deviantart account, but if you don't (or you simply do not watch that particular artist) you might have missed that. And it's certainly worth seeing. I just thought I'd share with you. Also, did you like the scene in the game? -------------------- You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one... |

I thought it was an alright scene in-game. The part where Tellah calls Edward "YOU SPOONY BARD" was funny until everybody else started overusing it. There were other memorable scenes in other FFs that I liked more.

I personally think Tellah was being overprotective to Anna. I can understand him being angry at Gilbert/Edward for taking her away, but he shouldn't have been so strict in the first place. The whole thing might not have had happened if you just let her be with him. They wouldn't have had to run away from him do Damcyan.

Quote (yomama @ 13th July 2007 20:41) Lol. I think they misinterpreted edward's nose. Its bigger. D: Spoons don't have noses. But yeah, the Damcyan tragedy was one of my favourite scenes in FFIV, but between old men yelling about spoony bards and Cecil slapping Edward like a bitch, I laughed more than I should have. -------------------- Come with me so I can show you how to live Burning the candle at both ends I’m gripping at the walls around me Don’t complicate it I’m addicted to this life I’ll be your token of attention All my lies come down to this -Orgy, "Beautiful Disgrace" |

Poor Edward is a rather unpopular character, yet he remains one of my favourites.
I liked the Damcyan scene, it was saddening since I actually enjoyed those characters' story. Can't say it's my favourite though, I found other apparent death scenes like Porom and Palom's , even Tellah's himself more appealing. Of course, the artwork there is well done. -------------------- Random game quote of the day: "Wilt thou change this world... Or wilt thou change thyself?" (Water Dragon, Chrono Cross) |

I had a disturbing amount of enjoyment watching Tellah beat Edward. Cecil slapping him was the icing on the cake. No, I can't say that it was my favourite scene, nor anywhere near there, but it was a second's worth of amusement.

Oh man, that comic is awesome. xD
I can't say that that scene was my favorite or anything, but it was certainly a bit emotional in its own right. There are alot of other scenes that I like better. -------------------- |

i liked the scene, even though it wasn't even close to my favorite. i liked tellah, and was kinda upset when he died, even though it was a great way for him to go out. that was i scene i liked much more, but it wouldn't have been what it was without this earlier scene.

I like how the scene features slightly absurd overreaction, combined with Tellah's hilarious whacking Edward for 80% misses.
What you linked to right there is a priceless piece of fanart. Quote (Florediorre) Poor Edward is a rather unpopular character, yet he remains one of my favourites. I like his character too, especially the theme music. And his physical attack actually successfully hits stuff (and does so for decent damage), unlike Rydia's or Tellah's. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing.
