Im still having the shadow sprite error, and I tried about 2-3 different things, otherwise stuff in google is in a different language. blink.gif

But, before I do this crazy thing, do you think Reinstalling would do the trick?

And er, it seems some stuff to fix the error you need THEIR kind of Ragnorak, like Pheonix's link.

Edit
Missed something

Edit
Fixed, I reinstalled Ragnorak.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!1

I'm rich now! I sold an Emperium to some guy for 1.2m, plus he threw in a Frozen Katar, too! Haha, this is sweet...bet I'm the richest member of the guild now! happy.gif

I'm a rich n00b, and I have no idea what to do with the money...

I sold an Andre Card for 2mil.

Of course, anyone that is usually online will already know i'm in heated search of a Vitata card, but for those more recreational users, if you are going to be on sometime, and happen to have one, lemmie know what u want for it.

[/EDIT]I'm so sad that I'm stuck at work for another 7 HOURS!!!

My mage is job lvl 49!!!!!

I had been taking everyone up on their suggestion that leaf cats were the way to go, and I've been training w/ ppl there, and then I activated my @showexp against a Geographer...

At job lvl 47, I was still getting 2.5% job exp, and even at lv 49, I'm still getting 1.8% so there is about a 98% chance that I will be finishing up my life as a mage tonight if anybody's on, and if anyone wants to help delay that and get some phat job exp at the same time, send me a msg when I'm on. I'm always good for a leech, and geographers are just fun. tongue.gif

I have a question as well...
Although I'm a veteran to the game (I remember when Payon was no bigger than Izlude blink.gif , and Amatsu was a beta implementation), I've never actually played long enough to get a character to their second class. Everyone talks about lv 50 as a magic number for lvling up, does the character quit gaining levels at lvl 50, or is that just the cap off for upgrading your character?

Also, a few ppl probably know about this already, but Naph(on RO, not sure who everyone is on CoN) took his mage the Wizard way, and although it would make all too much sense to make my character named, "Deatheater" a Wizard, he's totally gonna be a Sage. Sage has far better skills IMO. I can kill things hefty decent with my mage spells, the drawback for me is lack of movement, which sages can fix!

On top of that, after I sold one of my cards I've aquired, I blew some zeny on a bible, cuz I thought that would be funny for a character to carry around as a weapon, especially since it has more than 100 atk power. I then realized it's a 2 slot Sage item, and it boosts INT. That's about the time I really decided to be a Sage.

It will be a little while coming after reading about it, but some of the sage skills consist of allowing me to temporarily (somewhere between 5-10 min!) elementalize ally weapons. After reading up on this ability, I would recommend letting me level up the ability. I think I read that they have accuracy of 60+(SLvl*10), and if the skill fails, I break the weapon. The skills lvl to 5, so at some point it's no big deal, but whatev.

Also, for the ppl who are in their second job class: does the job leveling start easy like the first jobs again? Because if it takes a couple porings to up the first job level, I'll be 10 levels in by the 3rd Geographer thumbup.gif

Edit
My unbearable 7 hours left of work have turned into a bearable 3 thanks to the all time consuming power of the "When Screenshots Go Wrong" thread.

Thanks, CoN for allowing me to forget I was at work for an extended enough period of time. Besides, I can get all the work I slacked off done in 3 hours...

... I think wacko.gif

OMG YAY! I got another Emperium! I've had no luck selling my Andre Egg Card, even when I lowered the price to 725K, but I guess now I can make some kinda joint deal. Y'know, something like, buy an Emp, get an Andre Egg Card for half price! tongue.gif

The reason a couple members were removed from the guild isn't because we didn't like them or anything like that. At the guild's current level, we can only have 22 total members at a time. Dude to new people wanting to join, we removed the least active players for the time being. If those players come back to playing, just send us a tell and we'll get it worked out.

for anyone who is interested, i will (99% chance) be on tonight after 8:30 central time. If you would like some Sage help and adivice... lol... get it? Sage laugh.gif I'll be on as Deatheater.

As for making space: my initial character is also part of the guild. If you need to make more room, you can remove my charater leilong. I'm pretty sure that the guild could use a sage more than another chocobo Peco Peco rider.

Edit
Yea, and I'm not sure how much of a Captain Obvious this is... But go ahead and change my thing on the first post to my Deatheater name (as a sage baby! yea! thumbup.gif )

A sage eh? That's cool but... I guess I just never really saw the usefulness of them. Always seemed like their support skills really lacked significance. Anyway, if you find a way to make it work, more power to ya. In fact, let me know how they are, since I never really went in that direction with a mage.

Okay, a much needed update to the first post has been made. Most players should see correct character names and classes listed there, as well as a new section entitled "inactive players."

Our CoN guild has gained a few levels now, but as Hanyou said, the player cap is at 22. With the next guild level we will probably choose to expand this player cap again. Until then, the "inactive players" section denotes players who either have been (temporarily) removed from the guild or may be removed because you don't seem to be logging in anymore. If this is not the case and you'd like to get back into the guild, simply post here. smile.gif

Edit
Also, forgot to mention this, but the last guild level just went to the "Guild Approval" skill. This means we are now able to participate in the War of Emperium guild events, held every Wednesday and Saturday, 21:00PM-23:00PM GMT +01:00. (That means Wed/Sat, 1800-2000 for all you EST people, and Thu/Sun, 0700-0900 for... me... pinch.gif )

I probably can't do WoE on Wednesdays, not with those hours...but when we do start WoE, I should be able to make it on Saturdays.

Oh, and, I plan on making an Acolyte soon, cause, well, the Guild seems to have almost none. When I do, anyone mind helping me level? laugh.gif

Happy to help you level, of course.

By the way, I made it to Alchemist class today, so anyone who wants to save up herbs for conversion into potions, I'd be much obliged. I can convert each herb at about 75% efficiency right now, which is a big difference from the Alberta NPC (2 herbs for one potion, or 50% efficiency).

Okay, I don't have to work today, which makes this entire day pretty much a train day.

My merchant, properly named SS3 Merch, wants some help!

i'm about lvl 32/24 and would love a job exp tank. I'll be on for a bit a deatheater to get the word out, but if anyone doesn't see deatheater, give SS3 Merch a hollar.

And Bob, lemmie know how that acolyte is coming, cuz I have a gift for him. thumbup.gif

Edit
@Phoenix: I've got a few white herbs, and a [explicitive deleted]-ton of blues if I remember correctly. I'll get in touch via RO.

Sadly, the computer I usually use (Which is the one with RO on it) is acting up, and, well, I'm having trouble logging on to RO. sad.gif

Hopefully it'll work soon, 'cause I really wanna get started on my Acolyte. eh.gif

Edit
Ah, it's working now. If I disconnect randomly, don't be surprised though. Making the Acolyte now, name is Kelthas. Gotta check some FAQs first, then I'll start playing as him.

Here's the strat for a mage:

Int - boost thru the roof!
Dex - helps u cast faster
Vit - Helps u live longer

Starting out: lock in the first few skill points into a firebolt, then fill up the SP recovery, then finish filling up the firebolt. With sp recov at 10, and firebolt at 10, go kill geographers until ur a god. thumbup.gif put remaining points into enough cold bolt to unlock frost diver, and max out frost diver (freezing = goooood) if u want effective frozen damage, add lightning attacks after that.

In summary: Geographers = Super strong, really good experience, and weak to fire. They are planted in place (no pun intended), and only attack things that get too close. A mage's cast range is not close enough for a Geographer to attack.

I second this. As a defensive spell, it really is too useful to ignore.

As for the SP recovery skill, I've personally found the mage's/wizard's natural SP recovery to be pretty sufficient for the most part. In fact, I only put 1 point into that skill (so far, anyway). That meant 9 extra skill points for other skills...like firewall smile.gif . Also keep in mind that if you want to upgrade to a sage or wizard, some of their skills require some mage skills (and a certain lvl of each) as prerequisites. So definitely think about how you wanna build your character before you start throwing skill points around.

Well, my old ISP has now told me, after a house-call (apparently they don't know these things over the phone...), that they can't provide service to my building. Which means I've had to contact another company, and they'll be another two weeks. Yeah. Fun. So, don't expect me back for a while. I'd guess I'm already removed from the guild, but if I'm not, kick me to make room for active people.

Danke!

My Sage doesn't know it, is it really that helpful?

With the way my sage works, i don't need that "stay away!" defence tho.

I have Free Cast lvl 10, and a bloody butterfly card equipped to a clip. The card makes my spell casting uninterrutpable, and the free cast lets me walk around and attack while casting a spell.

I have 9 Str (I put a couple points into it for weight limit purposes), and with my +5 bible, my atk power is 160. I also had to add to my study skill as a prerequsite for just about everything, which boosts atk power and speed with books.

So unlike the typical wizard or mage that needs to buff up on uber-defensive spells, sages make for a purely offensive magic build that can be simultaniously paired with decent attack power. Unless the monster has really high str, most of the time I actually beat on them while i'm casting on them.

later during the mage times, you can get the quest skill Energy Coat. The skill works by increasing def% while the %of sp you have is high, it actually has different steps of how much of what %def for what %sp you have, and the other effect is that every time you have to tap that ability, it takes a % of sp based on the atk's power. It's a great skill, but you really start to notice the defense difference if you start to run out of sp. In some dungeons, even with the sp recov at lvl 10 (giving me 50 extra SP every 10 sec), I cannot keep my sp up. And it has nothing to do with my offensive spells, i normally am recharged on sp before i can get to the next monster in most places. And i have over 1000sp.

So I guess that there is a big difference in the way you build a character if you're planning on being a sitting-duck-but-beat-you-down-immediately mage or wizard, and if you're gonna be an uninterrupted-run-around-bible-thumper tongue.gif

Note: And with that bias I'm speaking from, let me say this - anybody can equip a bloody butterfly card, so even a wizard can be uninterrupted thumbup.gif
