Yup, and it's not worth it. It's easiest with a Genji Glove + Offering and a good weapon like the Stunner (randomly casts stop on the enemy). If he gets "stopped", you might just pull it off.

Lou: I think so.
Wiggum: Let's roll.

I don't quite remember, but I think I've beaten him with break using Setzer.

I use Jlombardi's strategy, but with the Atma Weapon and Valiant Knife. Locke generally has high speed (depending on how you built your characters up, this may not always be the case) and with defense-ignoring weapons, you can easily hit the 9999x8 mark if you...

- Get a turn before him.
- Don't do something stupid like casting life on yourself.

It's not worth it. Once you can easily defeat him, you don't need elixirs much anymore.

his form in the arena would definately be worthy of mention in the "Most annoying enemy ever" topic.

That's actually the point of the fight being not worth it.

Everytime I would beat Chupon, I always use Umaro (equip him with Blizzard Orb and Gauntlet relics), and since that's the only thing he can do in battle: attack.

Other characters like Locke randomly "steals" or just does something else random and unnecessary, which could give Chupon a chance to use Sneeze on you. So I'd rather use Umaro just for this fight to try to do over 10,000 damage before Chupon sneezes.

If I recall, "Blizzard Orb" is Ice/Wind elemental, and Chupon is no doubt vulnerable to Ice. Another reason why Umaro is the one to choose. Just make sure he gets the first turn, or just clear out one relic slot for Running Shoes.

A little note of advice, Sabin_, Umaro is also useful for the Fanatics' Tower sidequest (if you have not yet beaten it), since he ignores restrictions of physical attacks as a full-time berserked character.

Im not sure if this would work, but using Gogo without giving him any commands would leave him with only the Attack command, making him ideal for the colosseum, excuse me if i am wrong, i am just trying to help.
