Ya'll heard about this game. It's what guitar hero should have been. Instrument details go here

GUITAARRR:

* Guitars are an exact 3/4 replica of a Fender Strat.
* Xplorer guitars will work for 360 owners, but you may not be able to pass on all the new stuff this model has.
* Five familiar buttons near the top of the neck, five buttons near the body of the guitar. You will use these new buttons during specially designed solo sections using ONLY hammer ons and pull offs, no having to worry about your strum bar. Signature Fender 5-way switch has been added. By shopping at the in game store you’ll be able to purchase several virtual effects pedals such as Flange, Wah, Chorus and Echo. These can be applied during your song by setting the 5 way switch to the desired effect.
* Both wireless and wired variations
* Compatible with Guitar Hero III

BAASS:

* Doubles as rhythm guitar.
* Only instrument to not have its own single player campaign

Pix coming eventually don't rush me

DRUMMMSS:

* It consists of four pads, a kick pedal and legs for the enire unit to stand on. Think of it as a TV dinner tray stand only cooler
* Leftmost pad (red) is your snare drum, everything else doubles as toms and cymbals depending on the song.
* A set of real wooden drum sticks will ship with the unit.
* A piece of the stand can be taken off so that the unit can sit lower, or on a coffee table.
* There is a kick pedal
* If you play drums in this game on hard or expert, then you’re really playing the drums. Apparently you could sit down at a real set and play the same songs.

probably something like this use your imagination

actually no I think it's this

MIC:

* There will eventually be a Rock Band branded Mic
* Other USB mics will be supported, but Harmonix will probably NOT allow the use of the 360 headset due to its low fidelity. Mics will be usable as tambourines during certain songs.

it's a mic god why do you need a picture

Other details go here

Modes include: "Solo Tour Mode" (single player campaign), "Band World Tour" (co-op campaign), "Head-to-Head Play" (multiplayer), "Band Co-Op Play" (co-op duh are you stupid), "Tutorial Mode" and "Practice Mode".

Single player is available for all instruments except bass (what the hell?) and is called "solo tour mode".

Within the main co-op mode, all players earn points towards a common score, though multipliers and the equivalent of Guitar Hero's "Star Power" are tracked separately for each player.

If a player fails to play well enough, their section will become grayed out, but any other player can activate their "Star Power" to bring failed players back into the song.

If all players are still active upon the song's completion, the band will be rewarded with a special "jam session", which basically entail mashing the hell out of buttons (check below videos)

When creating their band, players will be able to create and customize their game avatars (complete with adjustable hair, body type, clothing, tattoos, and onstage movements), as well as their band logos. You can have your singer do the snake dance like Axl Rose or stand still like Eric Clapton.

Co-op will support any number of offline or online players, or any combination of the two.

Currently for Xbox360 and PS3 but it's "absolutely possible" there will be a Wii version.

One game, one guitar, one drum kit, and one microphone allegedly costs 199 USD.

Blue Oyster Cult is eh. Good song, I guess.

But what makes it all worth it is The Hives - Main Offender. Hell yeah.

Or does anything make 199 USD worth it?

I'm dying to get rockin' on the drumset. Hopefully everyone else wants to play the guitar/bass, although I can't imagine why would want to since GH already exists. Best case scenario, I split the cost with my buds and we rock out together whenever we can.

I'm a little curious on how the drum set is going to feel. They look like a color-coded quads set with a kick pedal and without any spocks, which is fine, but I'm worried about what they're made of - I mean... how hard or soft are the surfaces of the pads? Are they going to use rubber, plastic, or replaceable membranes? I assume that any old stick would work, and lord knows I have enough SD1s in my music drawer to last it awhile, but are they going to try and extort us by selling "Special Rock Band Harmonix Drum Sticks" for fifteen bucks a pair or something? Whatever. I'm probably going to get this eventually, but I want to play it before I'm sold on it.

this is a biggie for me. i hate when they have the re-performed songs guitar hero, because they almost always are clearly not the same. sweet child of mine on GH2? terrible.

BLUE OYSTER CULT ROCKS!!!!

excuse me.

im hoping that they also take advantage of the xbox live to constantly pump out new songs/material.

Plain ol wooden drum sticks. You can even use the drum sticks on a drum.
