The number of teams was increased to allow two CoN FF veterans to join us. It just wouldn't be the same if I couldn't stomp all over them. eh.gif

i prefer more teams anyways (within reason), it makes it so you have to go deeper to get your players.

18 teams...man. Normally a later pick isn't so bad because you get the two really good guys and it comes back around. If you're 18th...you're drafting 3rd round RBs or maybe a QB if still around...and then yikes. It'll be a WHILE.

Good grief. 18 teams! This will be quite a challenge. Good luck to everyone!

Alright, the league has been trimmed from 18 teams to 14 teams, a much more manageable number, imo. Please remember that the draft is tonight at 9:30pm CDT. If you can not attend, you may want to set up a pre-draft order so that Yahoo will pick who YOU want instead of what it thinks is best. We hope that you can make it though, and I look forward to seeing you there. smile.gif

Omg...wow. I missed the draft. I had a reminder set on my cell phone, so I wouldn't forget. But guess what? I lost my phone at the Dave Matthews concert saturday night when I borrowed it to some girl, who then started walking away up the insanely muddy hill at Alpine Valley, and next thing I know I'm being tackled by some random guy in the mud. And I lose her in the crowd.

Later that night, I get a call from some random girl that says she found my cell phone in the mud outside of her limo and called the last number on it. So then...I'm feeling okay. But I guess she and her friends passed out in the limo and left it in there. And so she's supposed to go to the limo service place today and try to get it back for me. What a nice girl to go out of her way like this.

But yeah, I'm sorry guys. But at first glance, my team looks like the auto-pick did just fine for me. thumbup.gif

The autopicks killed me. I *might* be able to salvage a playoff spot if I'm lucky.

Never give up on your team, especially before the season starts.

Last year I made the last playoffs spot with inexperience and Eli Manning. That should be encouraging for everyone.

Would this be the appropriate place to beg for a light-out WR?

I think it's fairly clear that I already have this season in the bag. The rest of you should just concede.

Neal, it's going to be hilarious when LT's leprosy kicks in and his leg falls off.

And that means Michael Turner time once he gets healed from his ankle sprain. That would be another starting RB for me! biggrin.gif

The season starts tonight with the matchup between the Mannings vs. New Orlean Stanks. If you have a player on either of these teams and you wish to play them, insert them now.

In the veteran's league, my team trounced its way through the season like the New England Patriots...only to choke when it mattered. Like I do every year. pinch.gif

If not for your post, I would have never seen that I misspelled my own team name. happy.gif

The league was fantastic this year, IMO. There was tons of parity, in that literally any team could beat any other team from one week to the next. I started out 0-4, I think it was, before I got on a winning streak that lasted all the way to the championship. Then there was the championship itself, which was a VERY good match decided by 2 points or so.

Most fun I've had in fantasy football in a couple of years.
