If you signed up for our contest, well, it's on now. You will have until midnight GMT (7pm EST) next Saturday, 7 July, to get your answers in. You've been broken into four groups, and each group gets a different quiz. The top scorers from each of the four groups will move on to the next round next week.
I'll send out a PM to everyone participating - good luck to every one of the fifty-two of you who signed up! There's something wrong with the Take a Quiz page. It tells me to choose a staff member on each question but when I click on their name it's the same link to the song next to them. And nothing happens to my score when I click on them. Just pop up to the song.

1, and i even used some time with making it fit so that each member had their own song... perhaps i would've done better if i just went on a random-rampage, theoretically id get a 2 :-), perhaps more, perhaps less - though it could barely be worse than i did :-(

I got a 4, somehow, since I had only heard of one song on my list and could only place the genres of about 4 more without listening to them. Is there any way to see the correct answers at the end? I'm curious which ones I got right.

I got a pathetic 1 as a score, and i totally agree with people's opinions that this game is really hard, since i was maybe able to place two or three songs, and sometimes it felt like the song fit a person not on the list.
