I've recently stumbled upon a game that I used to play a lot when I was little, remade for windows. Do you guys remember it from days past?
And, should you choose to download and play, what's your current hi-score? (Mine's 5450. I love Digger. I used to play it on my Amstrad PC1512. It would only save scores if you had a floppy disk in the drive, because it wrote them to a specific sector on there, ignoring all that silly filesystem nonsense (it'll never catch on).
My mother was better at it than I was. Off the top of my head, I think her best score was around 80,000, but we didn't know there was a fire button! We just went around avoiding the enemies and occasionally dropping gold on them. (If you're doing that too, try F1, although I have a vague memory that it might be configurable in the modern versions.) |
