None of my fanfics intertwine BTW, so I am just writing to put the characters in different scenarios. Enjoy! WARNING: THIS MIGHT BE A LITTLE DEEP AND NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART WHO HATE LOVE STORIES.

*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*

Her long hair lay spread underneath her head, the sweat glistened on her brow. Terra found herself falling...almost sinking...into the surface beneath her. Sweet, passionate kisses bathed her lips, her chin, her neck...rough yet gentle hands carressed her face and shoulders. She was drowning into the lust and love that now possessed her...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sabin found he couldn't control his painful desire for her tender kisses. Strong arms, sharp eyes, a shaped and controlled mind...none of that mattered now. She controlled him completely. Muscles became softer than feathers, his mind knew no boundaries, his eyes hazed by the sight of beauty and passion. Sabin didn't know if he had it in him to love, or even to be gentle of body...but this "bear", as he had called himself, found himself a tame and gentle cub at her hands. Her hands carressed his face...her lips emitted a mystic irrisistibility that even Sabin couldn't resist, no matter how hard he tried. One embrace after another, one kiss after the next...he had never known such passion...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Terra looked deep into Sabin's hypnotizing blue eyes. "I have never known," she said between sighs, "that a bodybuilder who strayed far from his gym would have such tender and gentle hands as yours." She embraced him tightly. "But is it real, Sabin? Is this what love really is?"

Sabin gazed at the alluring beauty that lie before him...the soft rug underneath her, a fire blazing in the fireplace of his bedroom at Figaro Castle. "I never knew that I could love or desire love this deeply," he replied. "I was known to be married only to the martial arts. But now, I must tell you what I think of love." He gently pressed his lips to Terra's. "Wait." He stood up and strode over to a large wardrobe in the corner of the room. After rummaging through the pockets of a set of blue robes, he seemed to find what he was looking for. Sabin returned to the rug and looked lovingly at Terra. Terra couldn't believe how handsome she found him to be, even with his shirt off, clad in only a pair of black trousers. She lie on the soft rug, donning a lavish pink silk nightgown, made exclusivly for her by Figaro Castle's master tailor. The gown fit her perfectly...forming to her body and flowing down her long legs. Her green eyes pierced Sabin's gaze as she looked at him. By firelight or otherwise, Sabin had never seen anything more beautiful. Sabin lay down on the rug beside her, cradling her head in his strong arms. He was still obviously hiding something in his closed hand.

"What I think of love," he began, "is something I only learned recently. People need love as much as they need dreams. If love brings joy, then it is worth having. Terra, I will confess now...I love you. In getting to know you, saving your life on many occasions..." Sabin chuckled at his own words. Terra smiled a soft smile, a slight rouge rising in her cheeks. "...and being with you over these last few years, even in friendship, has shown me how much you deserved to be loved, and how I have fallen in love with you." Sabin opened his hand, to expose a beautiful diamond ring. "I have been saving this for the right time, and I think that time has arrived." He looked deep into Terra's eyes, never losing his cradling embrace. "Terra Branford, will you marry me?"

The tears came to Terra's eyes...had Sabin REALLY proposed marriage to her? This had never happened to her before...but she knew in her heart, she loved Sabin deeply. But to become his wife? A wife to the Prince of Figaro?!? Still, that didn't matter. Sabin could have been a simple Treasure Hunter, like their friend Locke Cole, and she would have loved him anyway. Or he could have been a king, and she would have loved him the same. She had her answer.

"Yes, Sabin Rene Figaro," she said, "I WILL marry you!" Sabin smiled as he slipped the diamond ring onto Terra's left hand. The tears that had touched Terra's eyes had found their way into Sabin's eyes. "I love you, Sabin," she sighed, then pressed her lips to his in a passionate kiss. Once again, they found themselves lost in the mystic and magical force that was love.

"Sabin?" Terra whispered.

"Yes, love?"

"How are we going to tell Edgar? He's still trying to find a lady to woo as his queen!"

Sabin chuckled. "I'll tell ya this," he said. "King or no king, I have found my queen, and she is lying right here next to me."

Part 2 to Sabin and Terra's love story...

*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*

Sabin dressed quietly in his chambers, thinking of the events of the previous evening. He had seen his twin brother Edgar earlier that day, but hadn't told him of his decision to marry Terra. How would he break this earth-shattering news to his twin? A twin who, like Sabin, had been attracted to Terra's mystery and beauty. Would Edgar be jealous, or would he be happy for his brother? There was only one way to find out...

Sabin finished adjusting his robes, a traditional ensemble he wore around the palace. He usually only wore his monk's garb while in private meditation or during more social times. After one last glance in the mirror, he headed for the castle's library.

Edgar was sitting at a long desk in the library, reading one of the many books on the development of machinery. He looked up from his book to see Sabin standing before him. "Sabin! What are you doing right now?"

"I need to speak to you in my chambers," he said to his brother. "Something has happened, and I need your advice...sort of."

Edgar shut his book, with a concerned look on his face. "Is Terra all right? Has something happened to her? I know you love her, you know."

"Not exactly. Will you please come with me?" Sabin's face had lost some color. He was getting more nervous by the second about telling his brother about the betrothal. Edgar nodded his head.

A short time later, the brothers were in Sabin's chambers, drinking a cup of tea. "Now what is it you must tell me?" Edgar asked.

"You know Terra and I have been seeing each other for a while," Sabin began, "and how deep my love for her runs."

"Yeah..."

"L-last night, I asked her...to...m-marry me," Sabin finished nervously. He hung his head, as if in shame. "I'm sorry, Edgar."

Edgar was practically beaming with pride. "Why be sorry? That's WONDERFUL!" he exclaimed as he scooped his brother in a big hug. "You deserve it! But I don't understand why you are apologizing for doing what makes you happy."

"As current king, you should take a queen. Why am I the one to be married and you aren't?" Sabin asked.

"You've found the right one. I knew that a long time ago. I just don't have a gift for courting. You do, despite the fact that you don't do it." Edgar smiled. "I am happy for you, and even more happy for Terra. She doesn't think she deserves to be loved. But Terra is loved, and deservingly so. She's a great girl." At that moment, Terra walked into Sabin's room.

"Sabin?" Before Terra could say another word, Edgar flung his arms around her.

"You lucky gal! Congratulations, my friend. We must start the plans for the royal wedding of the century at once!" Edgar released his grip on her. "Are you excited?"

"Anything as long as I get to be with the king of my heart," Terra said, smiling at Sabin. God, she's so stunning, Sabin thought, and she's my bride. SHE'S MY BRIDE.

"Wait...ROYAL WEDDING?!?!" Sabin was undoubtedly confused.

"Yes. Royal wedding," Edgar replied. "You are the other rightful ruler of Figaro. The Prince Sabin has taken a fiancee, to be his rightful queen. You and I, brother, are the rightful heirs to this kingdom. Therefore, Terra will be crowned as queen upon your marriage...and you and I shall rule this kingdom, with Terra, as the rightful Royal Family. THAT'S why I said 'royal wedding"."

Terra was absolutely petrified. Me...a queen, she thought. Queen Terra? First love of children, then the love of Sabin...now the duties of a queen?

Sabin and Edgar laughed. "Here's to our united family," Edgar said proudly.

"And to Figaro," Terra added.

"And above all," Sabin put in, "here's to us. ALL of us."

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Edgar inquired eagerly. "The first thing to do is let our friends know of this wonderful development!" He ran to Sabin's desk to collect a pen and some parchment. "Who shall we alert?"

Terra was lost in the bliss of being the soon-to-be-Mrs. Sabin Figaro, but that did not distract her from what she knew needed to be done. "Well, we should definetly let Celes and Locke know. Last I heard, they were living in Narshe, and Mog is still living in the mines nearby."

"Hey, slow down. I can only write a wedding announcement so fast, you know," Edgar retorted to Terra's anxiety. Within a matter of minutes, he had produced two neatly written and sealed parchments. "Who else?" he inquired.

"Don't forget Setzer," Sabin put in. "He's currently in Albrook. If he's not there, just have the carrier pigeon look our for that bloody airship of his!" Edgar followed his brother's words.

"Should I include the 'bloody airship' part?" Edgar asked. Sabin cut him a glare that was almost as piercing as a Tempest blade. "All right, I won't. Any others?"

"I have an idea," Sabin stated loudly, as he looked at his fiancee with longing eyes. "Let's leave some of this wedding planning for later. Can't do it all today! Besides, my BRIDE and I have things to talk about." He shooed Edgar toward his door. "Out, brother. We can talk later."

"Oh, alright. I'll see these three letters delivered by carrier pigeons." Edgar winked at his brother and walked out, deep blue robes swirling behind him. "Have fun, your Majesties!" he added sarcastically. The door closed behind him. Sabin looked at his beloved.

"You know what I think we should do?" he asked Terra. Terra looked at Sabin, awaiting his response.

"What?"

He smiled. "Rekindle some old memories. Would you like to take a short trip with me?"

"Where to?"

"Just a little way from South Figaro. We can leave on the evening train, if you wish. Would you like that?" Terra nodded.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Terra and Sabin shared a small compartment on the train to South Figaro. It had taken a great deal of time after Kefka's defeat to rebuild the railways; and, with the earth's face gravely changed, it presented a great degree of difficulty. Terra looked out the window and sighed. Sabin put his arm over her shoulders. "What is it?"

"I don't understand what this little trip is all about," she answered.

"Let's just say we need some time to reflect upon ourselves," Sabin said with a grin. Terra smiled back and rested her head against her fiance's shoulder. She had never felt safer than she did in the arms of the man who loved her...the man she loved more deeply than she ever thought possible. But what did Sabin have in mind? The only thing that was even near South Figaro anymore was the Sabil Mountain Range, where Sabin's house had once stood. Terra nodded off to sleep, lost not only in her man's arms, but in peaceful dreams.

A short time later, Sabin brushed a gentle kiss across Terra's cheek, awakening her. "We're here," he said softly. Terra stretched and yawned. She looked out of the train's window to see the village of South Figaro, at the foothills of the Sabil Mountains. She and Sabin rose from their seats, and Sabin gathered their belongings from an overhead compartment. "Ready?"

"I guess so," Terra replied. Sabin had swept her off of her feet many times. He had even surprised and shocked her. But what was he planning now? Not even Terra, as well as she knew Sabin, knew for sure.

It's interesting. You don't usually see any Terra/Sabin fanfics out there. They make a strange couple, but I like it.

Sabin felt a wave of uneasiness sweep over him as he gazed at the Sabil Mountain Range, looming like a lonely blight before him. He had trained with Master Duncan there, rightfully defeated Vargas, and met Terra there. But the one thing that stood out above all else in his mind was the unexpected reunion with his twin brother. Sabin tried to banish the thought from his once well-desciplined mind.

Terra could tell just by looking at him that something was wrong. She cut her deep green eyes in his direction, questioning, without saying anything at all.

"Don't worry," Sabin said. "Everything's fine."

Terra forced a weak smile. "What are we going to do here?" she asked.

"I thought we'd take a little trip into the mountains. Would you like that?" Terra smiled sweetly and nodded. "But if you don't want to," Sabin added, "we don't have to."

"Anything as long as I have the king of my heart by my side," she replied, leaping into his arms. Terra felt herself beginning to melt in his embrace...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The wind began to blow stronger as the pair ascended Mount Kolts. Terra's hair whipped around until it almost blinded her. Sabin, though assisting Terra with the craggy ascent, walked and climbed as if it were an instinct. Soon, they came upon the mouth of a small cavern.

"Let's rest here," Sabin suggested. "I'll begin the fire and some tea."

Terra shrugged out of her cloak, a lavish and extremely useful gift from Edgar. Made of the finest wool in deep red, it protected her from Figaro Desert's violent sandstorms, freezing hail, and even roaring winds. She rarely left the castle without it. She removed her holy sword, Excalibur, from her waist, and lay it in a small corner of the cavern. Sabin had already began brewing tea.

"Why exactly are we here?" Terra asked.

Sabin looked at her. " I thought we could use some time completely alone," he replied. "You are always saying how palace life can be so crowded. Is something wrong with this?"

Terra smiled at him. "No, nothing at all. But..." her voice trailed off.

"What is it?"

"Since the face of the world was rearranged, this place isn't the same," she said sadly. "Look at it, Sabin." She walked out of the cavern and out to the cliff. "Look...your home is gone, where green plains lay are now barren, the forests are slowly beginning to flourish again...it's all different."

Sabin sighed heavily. "I know, dear. I know. But we still have the memories of how this place used to be. Beautiful, lively, vibrant. But a part of me is here, Terra, just like a part of me is in the castle." He hung his head. "But does that make you love me any different?"

Terra gently caressed Sabin's now tear-soaked face. "I will never love you any less because of the things your hold dear," she said. "They are engraved into your very being. It's what makes you who you are." Sabin raised his head and smiled at his beloved. Without saying a word, Terra knew that Sabin believed her. The found themselves lost in a passionate kiss. As long as they had each other, neither past nor present mattered...
