Does anyone know what those treasure chests are for in the shops next to the shopkeeper that you can't get to?

You can get to some of them actually, like the ones in the weapon/armor shop in Baron. There's a secret passage on the bottom right of the room.

but most of the chests seen in those situations are sprites for decoration. i think it was discussed in the FFVI forum, but im too lazy to get a link.

Just because there's a chest or NPC sprite, it doesn't mean it has any events tied to it. wink.gif

When I was a kid, I used to think that if you went past that little staircase behind Zemus you'd arrive at the chamber with the Lunarians sleep.

Me too!

One of the most disappointing things about video games is that walk-through-walls game genie codes don't put anything behind the walls. wink.gif
