impossble to get cyan in zozo

k so i read i was supposed to talk to the guy in front of the inn he just tells me its dangerous here and dont even think about jumping between the buildings
i keep going back switching my party climbing around every building retrying that rusted door but i cant buy the rust rid is there something im missing? im playing it on ps1 |

This is your first time in Zozo, yes? You can't get the Rust Rid until much later in the game.

no dude this is after all the characters split up and you have to collect them all again ive got them all except locke and cyan
