Well I might buy it(whenever it comes out) but I still have to buy FFIV on the PSX or an emulator(don't have a SNES) i bet FFV and FFVI will follow, seeing that III is out on DS as well.

Do you think they will keep the Lunar Ruins in this version? I'm looking forward to this, just ANOTHER reason for me to buy a DS.

I hope the lunar ruins aren't still in there. Those were some of the worst plot segments I've ever seen.

...no, self, you cannot have a DS.

I think it seems cool. happy.gif I really like FFIV. Sure, they released it on the GBA a while ago, but this is something a bit different.

...and Cecil does not look fruity. D: Well... maybe just a little... but that's okay!

I'm surprised no one has posted this yet:

The shocking news:

In somewhat of a surprising revelation, Tokita disclosed to Famitsu that only one-fourth of the original scenario made it into the Super Famicom title! The remake will see some areas fleshed out while others will be cut.

After a few days of rumors and speculation, confirmation regarding a new remake of Final Fantasy IV has been provided by Shonen Jump.  With a page of screen shots and other information, there seems to be little doubt that Square-Enix is indeed working on a new version of their first Super Nintendo Final Fantasy.

The DS remake will reportedly use the same engine as Final Fantasy III DS.  There's no word yet of a release outside of Japan, but, hopefully, details will be forthcoming in the next few days.

NO! DAMMIT! *fumes*

Oh well. I suppose we've already got all of the ports and stuff. I guess it'll be...it'll... be ok.

Tokita revealed that there are some big plans under way to make players play a second time. This is not limited to just restarting a game in a powerful condition, explained Asano.

Meh, it's kinda evening itself out. Just about.

voice acting and new music? this remake sounds better and better every time i read about it. and im trying to stay open minded on the whole plot issue. if they are taking some out, im just hoping that it isn't anything ill miss. and who knows, maybe some of the new stuff they add to the plot will turn out good.

even if cecil on the world map kinda looks funny...

I imagine they'll take out or at least change the parts of the game where characters "die" only to be miraculously safe and sound at a later point in the story simply because your fifth party member had to be changed out.

I hope they'll leave the Lunar Ruins and Cave of Trials in, or at least make an entirely new bonus dungeon.
