Hey guyz lolz

Anyone remember that live action Final Fantasy movie made by a couple of people who'd run around in a line and would eventually end up fighting through the second half of the movie in a turn-based battle? Someone decided to do the same thing, only with better graphics and much more like an RPG (naming screen, shops, NPCs, area names appearing in message boxes, occasional random encounters, an actual storyline, even the cliché two-frame victory pose.)

The occasional poke at how RPGs work ("There is a chair in the way. You cannot pass!", message boxes with yes/no questions where you have to answer "yes" to continue, NPCs standing around doing nothing and looking really out of place...) really made this one hillarious. They even did the "Tellah has Meteor, but never gets enough MP to cast it, d'oh!" bit from FF4.

Well worth the 40-some minutes it lasts. Now to go grab myself a healthy bowl of bacon fat with a side of beef.

...There goes 40 minutes of my dev time for the night though.

I should have been sleeping... but instead, I watched that...

It was totally worth all the pain I will have at work tomorrow.

Watch it start to end if you're gonna watch it tho. Go in for the long haul.

I also loved how there was a sampling of different FF musics, as well as a couple zelda sounds. But the world music was FFV, and I'm all about that.

I wish I could hack together something silly like this

that was quite entertaining! watched the whole thing! it was pretty funny. i wasnt too fond of the mini song bust out in the middle, but the rest was tight. nice find silverlance
