Gah! I need a nice in-depth strategy for beating him. I've beaten several Omegas, Shinryu, Omega Mk. II, and Neo Shinryu, and all the FAQs I've found say "if you were able to beat these, you'll have no trouble beating Enuo" and usually suggest whaling on him with Dualcast Bahamuts and Finshers, etc. I have no problem doing that, BUT, it doesn't lead to victory! He always ends up getting me with an Almagest/Maelstrom combo. Using the nice in-depth strategies for the Omegas and the Shinryus has worked out fine, but when it comes to Enuo I need an in-depth strategy here as well.

Does anyone have any tips on what combination of skills to use (I have all of them mastered, except for any Necromancer skills, obviously)? Or recommended level? I'm at levels 62-63. Also any recommended equipment to avoid some of the more powerful attacks (I have pretty much anything you could think of)? I don't think many of his attacks are absorbable...any recommended shields would be nice, as !Finisher's Elemental Attack causes 9999 whether you have two weapons equipped or not. Also does Romeo's Ballad work on him, as it did with Omega/Omega Mk. II (I'm under the impression this is out of the ordinary with bosses, however, so I doubt it will work with Enuo). If you're unsure Romeo's Ballad is the Song that makes the enemy "lose a turn", so to speak, not attack.

Current Strategy I've Been Using:

Bartz (Freelancer):
!Finisher
!White (Full Level)
Equipment: Matsunomokami (sp?), Ragnarok, Grand Helm, Vishnu Vest, Genji Gloves

Faris (Freelancer):
!Finisher
!White (Full Level)
Equipment: Ultima Weapon, Apocalypse, Genji Helm, Maximillian, Protect Ring

Krile (Mime):
!Dualcast
!White
!Summon
Equipment: Gladius, Rising Sun, Golden Hairpin, Crystal Armor, Sorceror's Mantle

Lenna (Mime):
!White
!Black
!Time
Equipment: Mace of Zeus, Sage's Staff, Golden Hairpin, Crystal Armor, Protect Ring

Basically the bashing strategy I mentioned above, with constant healing from Krile plus a cast of Golem when needed, with dualcasted Bahamuts when possible, Lenna helps heal as well and casts Haste as needed and casts Flare, Bartz and Faris use Finisher every turn unless they are really needed with some White magic (usually Arise or a rare emergency Curaga).

Anyway, some tips will be appreciated!

Here's what I had, I believe. These levels are probably a little bit higher, because this file is from after I defeated Enuo. But the equipment/ability setups should be right.

Faris (Mime, Level 48)

!Dualcast
!Summon (Golem, Phoenix)
!Black (Flare spam when not supporting party)

Gladius
Aegis Shield (may sometimes block spells)
Gold Hairpin (halves MP consumption)
Sage's Surplice (prevents Silence)
Angel Ring (prevents Zombie)

Faris just Dualcasted Flares when she wasn't summoning Golem or occasionally summoning Phoenix to revive someone.

Butz (Freelzancer, level 48)

!Blue
!Rapidfire

Ultima Weapon
Apocalypse
Ribbon
Robe of Lords (extra magic defense)
Angel Ring (prevents Zombie)

Butz casted Mighty Guard and White Wind for support, and otherwise just slashed at Enuo. It may've been better to give Krile his weapons, on second thought, but oh well.

Lenna (Mime, level 48)

!Dualcast
!White
!Time

Assassin's Dagger
Aegis Shield (may sometimes block spells)
Gold Hairpin (halves MP consumption)
Sage's Surplice (prevents Silence)
Angel Ring (prevents Zombie)

Lenna casted Hastega and Quick for more turns, and supported the party with Curaga and Arise. She also used Holy to do more damage to Enuo.

Krile (Freelancer, level 49)

!Spellblade
!Rapidfire

Chicken Knife
Mutsonokami
Ribbon
Vishnu Vest (more magic defense and protection from elements)
Angel Ring (prevents Silence)

The standard 'power-attacker' character. Flare sword was very helpful for high damage-per-second.

This setup basically tries to decrease the damage from Enuo's scary magic attacks, and prevent status ailments. Aegis Shields were also helpful to just avoid spells altogether. I remember many attacks just not having their animations played because they were blocked (I imagine they caused Zombie, or another status ailment). I also don't remember if it was Neo Shinryu who used that dumb Time spell that inflicts Silence on everything, but I equipped Sage's Surplices on my spellcasters just in case.

Anyway, this was the strategy I used when I faced him. I hope it'll help. Good luck!

Thanks! I'll try it. I think it should help me on preventing the attacks and such, which is probably what I needed, as Neo Shinryu required a lot of preventative measures.

Oops, I forgot to add something...I think my Lenna had the Sage's Staff equipped to make Holy deal more damage. I probably gave Faris something to boost her magic power a bit as well. Sorry, the weapons I listed were just the weapons I had equipped on the save I loaded up. tongue.gif

Well, thank you, thanks to your strategy Enuo is sleeping with the fishes! The only real difference was I didn't use Blue Magic as I was lacking in White Wind. Had Mighty Guard, though. Other than that it was pretty similar. Thanks again.

Apparently he loses his dummy parts during the 2nd part of the battle so rapid fire will hit. Somehow I just recycled the my neoshinryu battle tactics into this battle since they both focus on magic and attacking quickly. I had Faris use dragon power while Bartz uses attack/rapid. Krile dualcasts time and white while Lenna uses Golem and white magic. I ended the battle with 3 living people and an undead Faris. Enuo is unlocked after you talk to the man in the hall of tranquility and kill archeodemon. Go to the teleporter that was sealed up and kick some butt.

--------------------
My Gogo theory: Gogo came from a secretive clan of mimics that lives in a WoR exclusive area and when they were exposed in the WoR Kefka fries everyone except Gogo and he doesn't want to talk about his past because he will remember the death of his people. Because Lady Luck spits on him he ends up in the Zone Eater.

!Mime

Let you go "Meteor, Quick, Mime Mime Mime Mime Mime Mime Mime Mime Mime Mime"?

Absolutely, but if you use (Meteo+Quick) in conjuction in your first phase of your turn, then use !Mime, you'll cast Meteo, and Quick (which can't expand more than once a turn) again.

What I would do is the first proceedure of (anyspell+Quick), then on the second part of the character's turn, cast anyspell+anyspell, then on the final bit just use !Mime to save MP use (since !Mime repeats the last action you just did.)

Once you use !Mime, your turn ends. You can still have the next character (if he or she has !Mime) use that command too to do what you've just mimiced, and so on and etc.

That is the trick to making the best out of !X-Magic/!Dualcast. I easily beat Omega and Enuo with this technique.
