Hi guys!
I know that you can trade items with the "traveler in Kalm" to get all sorts of goodies...but where exactly is this person? I don't remember much about Kalm (from disc one) except for the way it looks and where it is on the world map. I've gone there and talked to some of the people just hang out and walking around, but none of them seemed to be the "traveler". If someone could clarify his exact location (if he has one) or exact instructions on how to find him, that'd be great! Oh yeah, and I'm on disc three...I hope that doesn't block me from finding him. ![]() ~~~ Oh, and also...I wasn't able to morph any Ghost Ships on my way down to the underwater reactor. Is there any other way to get the Guide Book (so I can get the underwater materia...which is what I'm really after)? I've tried to morph the Ghost Ships in Battle Square...but I get sidetracked from that easily...seeing as my HP is usually only 1000+ by the last battle. ![]() Oh, and not to be mean or anything...but if you're not sure, don't post. I'd rather not get any help than get help that isn't correct or leads me in the wrong direction. Thanks! He's an old man in one of the houses on Cloud's left when you enter Kalm, on the second floor. He says he's looking for the Guidebook, Desert Rose and Earth Harp. Can't miss him. I believe that he's Zangan, and made a thread about it a while back. Not much to back that up with though.
For the Guidebook, I wouldn't try to get it from the Battle Square, but stick to the tunnel. The Ghost Ship has 6600HP, so I recommend using one or two physical attacks before attempting to Morph it. You should get it fairly quickly. -------------------- Scepticism, that dry rot of the intellect, had not left one entire idea in his mind. Me on the Starcraft. |

Power up your character with lots of power sources till their attack reaches 255 then try morphing one, you can get power sources by morphing the rhino tanks in the blown up reactor in gongada.

(I believe) the traveller is on the top floor of the house whose entrance is directly next to the entrance to the bar(that weird hole in the wall, below the shops.)

for the guide book you are able to return to the underwater reactor you can go to junon pay the small fee to go up the elevator then head outside. continue down the alleyway and when there's a ramp that goes down on your left side continue through all the doors and there should be another elevator and once your on the sea floor in a glass passageway just walk around there for the ghost ship
if its confusing im sorry im telling by memory:blush: now the traveller is on the ground floor of kalm to the far right of the screen in the house, 2nd floor -------------------- Rudy: "You did all this to become immortal. Why?" Castillo: "To live forever." -The House of the Dead |

Okay, so there's a way to get back to the underwater reactor? For some reason, I thought I couldn't. And when the underwater reactor was part of the plot, I hadn't even used the Morph materia at all before then. So I got frustrated and stopped trying because the Ghost Ship kept removing my character equipped with morph with the "Goannai" maneuver.
Hopefully, morphing and using power sources will help me too. As for the the traveler...he's on the second floor of a house? I'm a bit confused about which house it is. I'm getting far left, far right and next to the bar (which might be one of the previously mentioned...but I don't have the game on now so I don't know). So what I'm just going to do is go to all the houses' second floors to find him. When I do, I'll post the actual location. (If I remember, hehe) Also...the traveler is none other than Zangan? That's interesting. Thanks for replying!! -------------------- Hidden Gaming Addiction |

Quote (Hiryuu @ 1st April 2007 08:03) Also...the traveler is none other than Zangan? That's interesting. Let me stop you there... That's not a proven fact or anything - just my idea/theory. I still think it is him as I like to think that all the characters from the flashbacks are still in the game somewhere. Not meaning to put you off, but I don't think many people believe it's him. I've gone into the house many a time. It is on the left or right depending on how you look at it. From Cloud's point of view when entering Kalm he's on the left, but from the player's POV he's to the right. Really, there shouldn't be much of a problem in finding him, I think we've done more harm than good in directions. ![]() Goannai won't knock out all your characters when you fight him with three; that's just the battle square. When his HP is low use Morph with all your party members. If you don't have more than three Morphs, then you can Mime it. Also, if you have a Counter materia then link it to Morph for a better chance at getting the Guidebook. Hopefully that should clear everything up! -------------------- Scepticism, that dry rot of the intellect, had not left one entire idea in his mind. Me on the Starcraft. |
