well as my last thread was closed because i guess i was just trying to impress people, I decided to create a new thread discussing the several mistakes and contreversal subjects relating to FF7.
Just a quick example, id like to hear peoples opinions on the Motorcycle fight game/scene. Cloud appears to be wielding the "Hardedge" weapon as he attacks the Shinra mounted attack force, it's obvious that this is the only weapon sprite appearing in the game, now I ask, Why did they decide(and assume) to feature this one and only weapon in cloud's hands...? why not the Buster Sword(as it appears in the battle arena) or why not an allaround unique weapon to the game itself....?? ...Just something to think about and discuss, Id like to hear about other occurances of this nature in the game |

Well I always believed it was somewhat of a night-stick trade-up
for optimum results it would be better to have a weapon that would know somebody off there bike, disrupt their balance, or disrupt a wheel of the bike, rather than slash them. Also the buster sword is never wielded by cloud in one-hand, he needed something smaller to be able to steer at the same time. thus he has a large metal criquet(spelling) bat. personally i wouldn't consider these mistakes as much as undescribed aspects of the game. and i can't think of any queries at the moment. It may have made more sense to have Cloud knock off the other riders with his bare hands... or simply have the game sprite graphics for all of his possible weapons(which wouldnt have taken TOO much memory in the game... just more time and wasted sprites, lol) |

I agree with clouds510, there would be more questions about how he failed to cut one of the bikes into two parts when he swung the sword at them if it was the buster sword he used.
I do believe it is the Hardedge weapon he wields in the FMV, but my guess is that it was done maybe for variation? To show he uses more than one weapon? Other occurances? Im not sure, but doesn't cloud use the ultima weapon
When he finally kills sephiroth with the omnislash?
-------------------- In the end, it boils down to two simple choices. Either you do or you don't. |

Hmm...He used ultima weapon when I beat the game but I figured it was just because that's what I had equipped on Cloud. It could be construed as a mistake if you never got ultima weapon but it shows up there anyway. -------------------- Status: FF6 -- Finished! Yeah! In the last fight, Cloud just uses whatever weapon he was holding. It's a normal battle scene - the character models are slightly improved, but the weapon models are the normal ones used in battle. There's no sign of a sword in FMV or on the field or any custom models at that point in the game, which are the places a particular sword might be hardcoded.

Another good point, yet still, I think it's worth testing.... just to see.. |

I think Tiddles has done it, hence the reason he says so. I beat the game as only Cloud with the Buster Sword throughout and I can tell you there is not a single difference except that I had Omnislash... even though I was using Braver for some reason.
