So I've just decided to race some Chocobos a bit before I go into the Northern Cave. I caught some around Mideel, rented out six stables with Choco Bill, and am ready to start building one up. But Choco Billy will not put one in the stables I rented. When I talk to him, here is what happens:

Choco Billy: "Welcome!"
MENU -- Buy, Get some information, Moving Chocobos, Feeding Chocobos, Mating Chocobos, Releasing Chocobos, Riding Chocobos, Do Nothing
*Click 'Moving Chocobos'*
Choco Billy: "Which one are you going to put in the 'Chocobo Stable'? Use the directional button left or right and *circle button*."
ENTERS LIST OF CHOCOBOS. SCROLL ONE TO THE RIGHT TO GREAT CHOCOBO AND CLICK *CIRCLE BUTTON*

...and nothing. No chocobo is put in any of the stables, all four remain in the free-range pen. Is this a glitch?

Are you certain you paid Choco Bill to own each and every stable? Or were you trying to add two chocobos or more into one stable? Because I've already added one chocobo to each stable I rented out and it worked fine.

Don't know how to help you on this.

When I talk to Choco Bill now, he says "We aren't big enough to rent out more than six stables". So I assume I own six?

You have to speak to his kid, I forget his name, he then allows you to select what chocobo you can put in your stables from the ones outside.

In the end, it boils down to two simple choices. Either you do or you don't.

Have you changed the configuration of your controller, If I remember correctly, I think that was a problem when raising chocobos.

Anyway, rent stables from Bill (6:MAX), and then talk to Chocobo Billy to move the chocobos you have CAUGHT.

Tip tip. Buy two Silky Greens from C. Sage and just multiply them with the W-ITEM, that will save you TONS of Gil, literally.

saffire weapon's correct what you should do is go to config. and set controller to normal instead of customized it should work afterwards

you also have to do it when you try to feed them
