ugh. im at the part of the game in galufs world where you have to follow the moogle to get to the village. the thing is, i wasnt paying attention to where he was walking (turbo mode on emulator) and now i have no idea where to go. ive been walking around for about 45 minutes and havent found anything yet...

There are no encounters on that side of the map, so long as you stay out of the deserts. Just head off to the east until you run into a forest surrounded by mountains (just avoid the deserts if you don't want to fight strong stuff.)
The entrance is somewhere near the middle. Just keep moving around and you're eventually going to end up in the village.
