I made this topic better than old, what's your favorite magic spell?

(My favorite magic spell is Holy)

Oh I forgot about Blowfish! That's one of my favorite Blue Magic spells. Instant 1000 damage on anybody. Once I got that spell in the Lonka Ruins, I used it to destroy ArcheoAvis no problem. Blue Magic destroys him, though. Blowfish does 1000 damage to him (and he only has like 1600 per phase, IIRC), and Lvl5 Death kills him instantly in his final form. Amazing battle. I think you learn White Wind in there, too, from the Fan Wizards or whatever they're called. What a dungeon.

Anyways, Blowfish is my vote. It's too good.

There are a lot of spells. I lived off of Curaga, that move saved my skin more than once. I also like to summon in general, I don't really have a favourite, though. Holy and Flare are pretty good, too.

Yeah, there are way too many spells in this game to choose a "favorite". They all suck and rock at certain times. I use certain various spells from various jobs.

Why did you bother posting then? If you don't have a favorite spell, don't list every spell in the game save for like 10 and then say they're all favorites because they can all be used at some point. -Caesar

I had to vote other for two reasons:

????? and Vampire. The two best spells to use in conjunction ever!

????? when low, and then vamp your way back to safety, plus, vamp absorbs more when ur HP is lower. I know archeoavis has already been brought up, but my testimonial is here

My second favorite combo would have to be darkshock and LV 5 doom. Because the game seems to round down, any high level monster will usually round down to a 5 multiple at some point. Now that I've made that statement, I'll be bombarded with data proving otherwise, or perhaps... it's research time on my part!

PS - someone please rez the SSCC thread, I've been posting there for the last week, but since I was the last to post a long time ago, it's all edits, and I'm posting into oblivion with it.

Leilong, I made a topic awhile ago giving instructions on how to defeat any monster in the game using DarkShock, Samson Power, and Lvl5 Death. IIRC, keep using DarkShock until their level is 1, use Samson power, and then DarkShock again, and their level will be 5. The chances of success with that are so low, though, that it's hardly worth using. Djibriel mentioned that there's a .25% chance of DS connecting with Shinryuu if you are level 37.

But if you boost your own level monstrous amounts beforehand using Samson drinks or w/e you want really, and then try, it's more plausible. Neat trick.

Anyway, my favorite is Bahumat

Blowfish is definitely one of the favorites up there for me? Like said earlier, it automatically does 1000 points of damage. You may say, "well, i can do better than that"! Well, try going up against somethiing that has so much of a defence that you can barely do "100" points of damage (a.k.a. the Guardian from Final Fantasy VI).

If you were able to use blowfish, you could automatically dish out 1000 points of damage without a question asked. I'm not sure if you did use blowfish, that it would actually damage the Guardian, but I don't think it would. Anyways, you see my point. With blowfish, defence doesn't matter. Hahaha, sweet.
