Question about Strago/Shadow/Relm

Possible spoilers: highlight to view Is there anything in the game that prevents Relm from being both Strago's granddaughter AND Shadow's daughter? In other words, could Strago's daughter be Relm's mom? I know that one Thamasan said that Relm was adopted, but given how tightly knit a community Thamasa is, my personal theory is that she saw and recognized Shadow/Clyde and whipped up that little falsehood to keep certain secrets from coming out. Well, Shadow is dressed in black, with a covered face and paint... I think no one recognizes him... but! You can take it as you like, it is only a game after all, anything not written in stone is subject to conjecture. =3 -------------------- The Arcana are the means by which ALL is revealed. |

The game makes a point of saying that Relm isn't Strago's natural granddaughter. Ofcourse, NPC's could be lying, but with that assumption the War of the Magi very well may never have happened.

Djibriel, you make a good point, but the War is told to us in third-person omniscient narration at the start of the game, not an NPC.
Also, the GBA version has the same villager say, after telling you the rumor, "but that's just what I heard." -------------------- |

Strago and Relm don't have the same last names, so Strago isn't Relm's biological grandfather.
