Reading some threads here someone said that they used Genji Gloves on several characters, and that they used 2 Atma Weapons. My question is...

1. What is the total number of Genji Gloves one can acquire throughout the game?
2. Can you get more than one Atma Weapon (Ive played this game countless times, but dont know any way to do this...)
3. Can you get duplicates of other rare useful relics (Gem Box, Offering) through any means, such as Colliseum.
4. Were any of these added to the new GBA release (I know its probably too soon but...)

So far Ive only found 3 or 4 Genji Gloves. The ones I remember immediately are from the Returner's Hideout and from the Cave to the Sealed Gate. Thanks in advance for any info you guys can produce smile.gif

Well, you can steal Genji Gloves from those Dragons on the Floating Continent. I think that's the only way you can get more other than the two you get from the Returners/Cave to the Sealed Gate.

I'm pretty sure there's only one Atma Weapon. You can steal one from one of the pieces of the final battle, but it's a bit too late to put it to use by that point...

I'm not positive on the Offering, but there's only one Gem Box.

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
In the GBA version, however, things are a bit different. Since you can create a clear game save file after you beat the game, you can steal Ragnaroks and Ultima Weapons from the final battle (along with the other tasty stuff like Megalixers) and keep them when you make a new clear game save. Yep, infinite Lightbringers whoo.

You can also get another Offering (now Master's Scroll) in the monster rush, since you fight every enemy in the game there, including the Katana Soul.

Thanks for the info, since Im mainly applying it to the GBA version I just picked up. The "spoiler" info was interesting, as I didnt know much about the bonus features. Do you have any idea what the rate on getting the Genji Gloves from the dragon is by any chance? If its a decent rate (and I mean 10% or higher) Ill spend some time trying to accumulate some when I reach that point.

I totally missed the genji gloves until the WoR, but there's one in Cyan's Dream. (I also tried morphing 'em but never was able to.)

I havent posted here in a while,

Not sure if this has been brought up.

But you can get a Gengi Glove at the beginning of the game.

At the scene in the Returners Hideout, When Banon askes Terra if she wants to be the "last ray of hope", say no, then return to the treasure ream (the room at the top with all the treasure chests), talk to the Returner there and he gives you a Genji Glove to convince you to help them.

EDIT: nevermind, i saw you mentioned it.

Actually, you can morph a couple enemies to get genji gloves too. This information is, of course, on the Caves of Narshe FF6 site. Aside from those, I believe you could obtain a grand total of 3 if you didn't steal/morph any from any enemies.

Gem Box, sadly, is a one-shot item. Even in the GBA version.

Well, considering they devote an entire dungeon to the obtaining of the Gem Box (with the extras like the dragon, of course), it better be a unique item smile.gif

I'm kinda hoping the Illumina/ragnarok and Atma Weapon are obsolete compared to the new weapons, though. The new ones from the bonus dungeon I hope are better.
This because, I dont think farming Kefka would be an ideal game feature, and it kinda cheapens the weapons even more than they already are if they're useful, because ALL of your characters use them. If there's no need to get more, then they still retain some of their uniqueness.

Actually, it seems you can steal another Soul of Thamasa from one of the Gutturn enemies in the Soul Shrine monster rush. xD Well, if you can survive after attempting to steal from it, at any rate.

GLUTTURN:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Glutturn - they ask you to feed them ethers etc, then attack when you stop
give 12500 xp, 50000 gil

Purple
steal force shield
- uses 800 damage physical to back row, hits multiple times
- 30,000-40,000 hp?

Redish
steal soul of thamasa
- casts ~6500 damage ultima (repeatedly)
- sets all characters hp to one upon death
- I highly recommend using runic (and miming it even)

Yellow
steal master's soul
- berserks all party members
- entices a party member
- zombie sentence all (20s then turn to zombies)
- disaster (blockable)
- diabolic whistle (blockable)

Blue
steal celestriad (I wouldn't bother)
- kills 2 characters (Punish) blockable but unlikely (physical?)
- blaster against all chars upon death (blockable)

*Poof* FF6 Wiz here (I learned from the best on this forum)

1) Genji Glove Numero Uno: Returner's Hideout mentioned earlier
Dos: I believe you get one in the sealed cave
Tres: And another for completing the send letters from the Veldt Town to Maranda from the injured soldier (this Might be a gauntlet)

Next I do believe there's another glove or two hiding in WoR. But, you dont need that many gloves.

2) There _are_ two atma weapons in the game. The second one is stolen off one of the parts of the final boss. Since in the SNES version the game ended after that final boss, you couldn't use your newly aquired loot, but now I believe it acts like FF4 in that it continues afterwards. On a side note there's a Ragnarok on the final boss tiers too. (Look up the tiers specifically to see which one)

As for the other two questions, I'd have to keep playing to find out, but atm Gem Box is unduplicatable by any pre-GBA means.

I always thought you could steal a Ragnarok and AtmaWeapon from 2 of the 3 "statues", before you reached Kefka?

Nope, it's from the two enemies in Kefka's third tier. One has the Ragnarok and one has the Atma/Ultima Weapon. So there's no point, except to use them immediately in that battle.
