Okay, I was talking to my friend, I told him, I have a feeling that who ever returns the kickoff will return for a TD, AND GUESS WHAT, the Bears just did that, amazing!
I'm still undecided on who I feel is going to winthe Super Bowl, and propbaly will not pick anyone. EDIT: The Bears just INT Manning, HAHA, I'm starting to think that the Bears will destroy the Colts, but it's still early. EDIT: The Colts score TD. (7-6) Bears lead EDIT: Bears FUMBLE, Colts FUMBLE next possesion, Bears recover possesion EDIT: Bears score another TD, extra point convertion. (14-6) Bears lead. That was an awesome game! The Colts wiped the floor with the Bears. I knew that they would win!
For those who missed the game, the Colts won 29-17! The bears played a good defence for a while, but they just didn't make the cut. What did ya'll think of the game? I really didn't watch it since I don't watch TV, but I heard it was a good game and kinda tuned in on the radio for the highlights! Better than nothing, no? ![]() -------------------- Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Chrsit for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost Acts 4:12 Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost |

I'm not a big fan of football and overall I didn't enjoy this one.
The first half was a great game, and the second.....not so much |

It was sloppy, for sure. A real turnover fest. Still, it was exciting until about 11 minutes left in the 4th quarter, when Indy pretty much put it to bed.

I was rootin' for Da' Bears to be the underdog victors in this one, but oh well. They started strong, but deteriorated towards the end.

Personally i think sanders Deserved MVP
Manning definately did not, they pretty much gave it to him out of sympathy. -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

Addai didn't get MVP because he lost one of those fumbles. I think Manning getting the award was a result of being able to keep so many drives alive - when the opposing defense is on the field for 38 minutes it's a huge factor in the game. That defense was tired. I probably would have given the award to Rhodes.

Quote being able to keep so many drives alive So did Roethlisberger last season, but he didn't get MVP. Rhodes getting it would have been equivalent to Hines Ward getting MVP, they were the players who didn't make mistakes during the game. I would be fine with Rhodes winning it, or Sanders. It's hard to get recognition on D -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

One of the announcers, can't remember who, said after the game that the Colts' offensive line deserved the MVP award, and I would totally get behind that. He was sacked what, once? Hurried maybe once as well? He had all day back there. Giving that kind of time to Manning with Harrison and Wayne in the flats is going to cost you every time.

It wasn't the best of Super Bowls, not even in the TOP 40.
Anyway, this Super Bowl victory now puts Manning in the "Greatests QBs" of all time category. He is definately going to be in the Hall of Fame when he's career comes to an end. -------------------- PS3 tag: TipoDLuffy "...quite possibly the greatest game ever made" |

Quote (SaffireWeapon @ 6th February 2007 11:05) It wasn't the best of Super Bowls, not even in the TOP 40. Well, seeing as how there's only been 41 of em', this one I would put in the top 20. Most SB's have been blowouts from the get-go. At least this one was exciting as hell in the beginning, and wasn't really over until the late 3rd/early 4th quarter. -------------------- Join the Army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill them. ~Pacifist Badge, 1978 |

Quote (GamblingCat @ 7th February 2007 19:16) Da Bears neeed a new QB, after seeing Grossman here and in the season finale against GB, i think he is done for... i rooted for the Colts and knew they would destroy the bears. Rex is a first year starter. He just doesn't have the experience to win big games himself, or the decision making skills sound enough to compete in a Super Bowl. He'll be back, despite the banter of the "Let's blame Rex for the Chicago Fire!" crowd that wants to crucify him. He has more potential than any QB we've had in decades. Rex was bad, but the game was a team loss. They got outplayed in every phase of the game, but most of all they got outcoached. They didn't blitz, they didn't run any D-Line stunts, nothing. They just sat back in the cover 2 and let Manning pick them apart. The O-line was terrible. In the 2nd half, Ron Turner forgot that running the ball is still an option when you're only down by 5 points. Gah, it was bad. They have a great shot next year to return with Tommie Harris and Mike Brown coming back. Mike Brown is the Bears' Bob Sanders, he is vital to the defense especially in the run game (evident enough with all the 10 yard draws they ran on us...embarassing). Rex will be better next year. -------------------- The clouds ran away, opened up the sky And one by one I watched every constellation die And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star I should've known, walked all the way home To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone -Atmosphere "Always Coming Back Home to You" |
