Okay, so I've finally embraced the wholesome goodness of the mystic knight.
But... I'm greedy. I want more! So my question is... What abilities does the spellblade still work with? I'm pretty sure that is doesn't apply with Rapid Fire, I've found that it does work with Mug tho. So other than Attack, what (besides equipping 2 swords) can you do and still get your spellblade to work? Just throwing in out. -------------------- If internal struggles were as enjoyable and glamorous as the self conflicted wars within video game characters, we would all be statues, reveling in perpetual self war. -Me Play me on Rock Band 2, GH-WT, or any other Xbox GH! That's about it
2 swords, and magic sword nullifies chicken knifes innate run ability. Chicken knife is the best weapon for the Mknight. I believe on an account of Caesar that he did 7000 as a frog with Flare chicken knife against a boss. -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

Haha. I can't believe I missed this thread. This is favorite story to tell. Yea, during the battle with Halycanos, I had everybody use Flare sword and then I was Kurururu!'d. He ended up killing a lot of them and I wasn't hitting anything because I kept trying to run (Chicken Knife FTW!). That's at least what I remember. I don't think Magic Sword nullifies my desire to run away in fear, but I could be mistaken. Anyways, I went a few turns without connecting (bad aim or trying to run, idk). Finally landed a hit and just wrecked him. It was upwards of 7k. I don't remember exactly how much it hit for, but it was heaps of damage. As a frog. I did it a few more times after that and I think he just died of shame.

Ok, here's what you do (for the GBA version anyway). Level up your basic max-stat classes (Monk, Thief, Summoner), then level out your Knight for auto-Cover, Mystic Knight for auto-Barrier and MagicSword, Ninja for auto- Double Sword (if you like duel wielding), and then Gladiator for BladeBlitz (or Ranger for Rapid Fire in the older versions of the game).
Now set the character to Freelancer with SwordMagic and BladeBlitz (or Rapid Fire). Activate Flare Sword and blast everyone with BladeBlitz. Even better with two swords. -------------------- My Final Fantasy Tactics: The War Of The Lions Avatar The Brave Knight Name: Eirikir Lashius (Ramza) Role: Knight Age: 23 AA1: Arts of War AA2: Guts R: Counter S: Concentration M: Move +3 W: Durandal O: Reverie Shield H: Grand Helm B: Grand Armor A: Brigand's Gloves |
