First and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Second, I just had Strawberry Rhubarb pie for the first time, it's quite good. I think my all-time favorite is still Pumpkin though. So, my point is, what's yours? |

Apple pie.
McDonald's version is nice, but the best is one with crispy top crust plus tons of apple filling. Mmmmmmm................... For some reason, pumpkin pie never entertained me. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. Rhubarb Pie. My dad makes the best kind. A friend of the family's owns a garden vegetable and fruit stand business, so we get fresh rhubarb, and then my dad makes the pie himself. Delicious.
I also like homemade apple, blueberry, and peach. I'm really picky about pie, though; it has to be homemade, and vegan. There aren't many store-bought or restaurant pies that I've liked. -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

Either peach or blueberry cheesecake. My late grandmother made the best blueberry cheesecake pie in the world - her crust was flawless.

Whilst we seldom actually have it, my favourite dessert happens to be cherry pie, though I'm also rather partial to the McDonalds apple pies.

Chocolate Cream anyone? I could eat an entire pie in one sitting if it wasn't for all the turkey and fixins I had already ingested.

I'm quite partial to chocolate pie but in the fruit category I like blueberry or blackberry pie. The pie has to be warm though and accompanied by a scoop of vanilla icecream.

Key lime and lemon meringue. Mmm, lemony and limey...
Most other pies I find to be a bit too bland. Strawberry pie, which I did used to like, I've refused to eat ever since I read Stephen King's Thinner way back when. My mom makes the best Strawberry Rhubarb AND plain ol' rhubarb pies. My sister's peach pie is great as well. Filling first, next the bottom, then the crust... that's my system and it works well.

I've never really considered Cheesecake to be a pie, though now that I really think about it, I suppose that it is.
Therefore, I feel I need to mention Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake........ |

Ah sweet sweet pie. Is there anything so delicously sinful? If Satan made a pie out of the apple of knowledge thingie...
Ahem...to the topic at hand. Dutch Apple Pie. Pumpkin and cherry are my favourites, but I like raspberry a lot, too. They don't have to be homemade. I grew up on Mrs. Smith's cherry pies, which are the only brand my father will eat, so I learned to like 'em.

All I can say is cheeeeeeesecake! Love it.
But I can't even comment on other pies really. It seems there is a lot more pie in America than here in England. I recall as a child, I didn't like apple pie. After that I have never endeavored to give it another try! I'm silly I know. -------------------- 'Let that be a lesson to all oppressive vegetable sellers.' |

If cheesecake counts as pie, then mandarin cheesecake all the way!
In terms of actual pie, my Grandma's homemade apple pie takes the biscuit. But I like savoury better than sweet, so cheese and onion pie, and vegetarian mince pie. And mince pies and ice-cream at Christmas too. -------------------- 'Bastards, we may be, but clever are we.' Thorn, FFIX |
