So it's my first time playing FFVI (and also posting on these forums). I'm having trouble beating Vargas on Mt. Kolts. I'm able to beat him easily with my party but then that fool Sabin shows up and I'm forced to use his Blitz move to defeat Vargas. Okay, simple enough.

Well, I can't seem to get it to work right. I've put in the button combination exactly as it tells you to in the game and all I get is a 'Incorrect Blitz Input' or something to that extent. Help?

Hey, I'm new here too, but I've played the game a lot. First, make sure you use Pummel, so press A, and then Left, Right, Left, and then A. I don't know what else to say but to keep practicing it until you get it down, because sometimes it just doesn't work. There's a bit of a nuance to it.

First,DO NOT forget to click on *Blitz*:PUMMEL. make sure the arrow is facing you
THEN press left, right, left, Accept button. after you get a pretty cool character.

As the above commenters have said: yeah, be sure the arrow's facing you, and that you press accept.

If you're blitzing on an emulator, you don't actually have to lift your fingers from the keys. You can go (left), then hold that down as you switch to (right), etc. It's a matter of sliding your fingers, not just mashing them down.
