I didn't think I could effectively pull off a full-body drawing of Zalbag, so having been inspired by another (and WAY superior) piece of art, I came up with a close-up drawing as seen below instead.

Excellent work, Galsic! The expression on his face is awesome and I really dig the colorin' 'n' shadin' job. I always thought he had more of a long, pointy goatee.

One of my favorite FFT characters!
Very well done, Galsic. There is, however, one major, MAJOR flaw that I cannot ignore.... FFT characters have no noses. I am, of course, kidding. Great work there man. -------------------- Join the Army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill them. ~Pacifist Badge, 1978 |

Echo the great use of shading and line. And Zalbag rocks.

This is a great piece of fanart, nothing bad to say about it. I like the shading, The proportion is well done, The expression on Zalbag's face is great, and this is one kick ass piece of fanart.

His face seems anime-ish to me. Compared to your other work anyway.
I see you've started to combine colors a little bit. I like the subtle skin shading. Everything looks good and I can't really point out anything that is off. Very nice. -------------------- -- You're Gonna Carry That Weight -- |

I like this piece. The shading is professional, but I don't like the shape of his sword's blade (looks curved on an area).

Quote (NeoEx-Death @ 5th January 2007 16:07) ...but I don't like the shape of his sword's blade (looks curved on an area). Well, it's supposed to be curvy. Although, looking again, I didn't really put enough of a notch on that other side. For that matter, Zalbag may very well have more hair along his jaw, as well. Dang...
