-That was inexcusable
-Celes is on of us!

Ask each question once for a total of 6 points. Repeat a question and have 10 points deducted. Remember your first question asked.

-Yes, the Espers have gone too far.

He will ask what was your first question, repeat it.

Take a rest

-Yes

You should talk to 20 soldiers, some will fight. 1 Point for each.

i talked to 23 of the 24 soldiers and as i fought the 24th one the time ended before he died... however when the time went out just before it flashed to the banquet it showed 24 people talked to (or whatever it says {don't remember offhand}) then i answered all the questions at the banquet correctly... i wonder if it has something to do with not talking to all 24 in time... but it DID say that i had talked to all 24

I didn't see if you confirmed or not that you fought the special forces during the break at the banquet. I honestly don't remember at what point you get the bangle. I was one of the lucky folks who, without realizing there were rewards for "points" for right answers and talking to soldiers, managed to get the best score the first time through...and I've done likewise ever since. The Bangle is always just there in my relics, and I've never paid attention to where it came from.

I wouldn't worry about it, anyway, since I've never noticed any difference in random encounter rates with or without it. Basically, I always just got it for completeness's sake, and assumed that it didn't work.

No, no they don't. The Charm Bangle is a lesser version of the Moogle Charm, but anyone can wear it. The Tintinabar is a totally different relic that lets you restore HP with every step.

I think he means that the Cat Bell is the same thing as the Tintinabar.

Ah, you're probably right. I just couldn't understand what he was saying since it was so poorly written.

Sorry for the unclear post. I was At school and such. What i meant to say was, The emporer has never sent me a Charm Bangle. I have always got all the things unlocked ect, and a Cats bell. What I meant by same effect was the Cats Bell Tintabar. Sorry for the confusion. blush.gif

The charm bangle itself sucks, but you can bet it in the WOR for another Gold Hairpin. That in and of itself would probably make it worth your while to save next time and reset if you don't get it.

I have never seen any uses for the gold hairpin especially when there's a certain spelll named "osmose".Ya see, osmose usually fills up ALL your MP when cast (Except when cast on certain monsters like the undead). Thus, there never was THAT much of a difference if you forfeited one turn per character to replenish their MP, was it? And it wasn't even is if it had to be done THAT often (unless you'rebeing overly extravagant, of course). I never got the economizer even when I killed the Brachosaur twice, but I found I never needed it that much-since I had Osmose!!!

OK, sorry, I digress. But what I mean to say is that the Gold Hairpin in itself to me is useless. And the Charm Bangle-I hardly noticed too much of a difference when I had it on. So it pretty muchs a waste of time to me. What about you people?

One more thing- the Tintinabar (aka The Cat's bell), as far as my memory serves me, is the highest possible reward if you did everything else correctly. And, they will give you the best possible prize that your score merits, along with the other lower prizes. In other words, it ain't possible to get the Tintinabar but NOT the Charm Bangle. So does this mean my memory is wrong, or does it mean that your game is glitched????

Nope, sorry, you can get one at the Imperial Dinner too.

Here's my question, why are people calling it the Cat's Bell? I've never heard of it translated that way in FF6.

Yep, I'm pretty sure an accessory called the Cat's Bell exists in X-2 that does the same thing. Just a case of inconsistent translations across different games I guess.

I prefer the term Cat's Bell now....Tintinabar just sounds like a town on Mos Eisley!

I call it cats bell because thats the way my Unofficial ROM translatesed it. Its the Midgar zolom Cait sith Translation. Cats Bell IS easier to write than Tintabir-I can't even spell it.
