The whole "killing off Harry" would make sense as to why Rowling has stated that she doesn't want to do any continuations with the Harry Potter series. She didn't say never, but she also said she didn't want to do them any time soon. Ginny, Ron and/or Hermoine would be my definite choices as to who Rowling would kill off.

I've had a few people say to me now, "Oh yeah, Harry dies in that one."
Have they even read any of the other books? No! Where on earth do they get this information from? And then they say, "Oh come on, it's obvious!" I must have missed something... I wonder if Rowling can manage an ending that nobody expects and still make it class entertainment. Either way, I'll have to find out. And she better make sure she does a lot of work on Snape's character, or there will be a lot of angry people out there, hehe. -------------------- 'Let that be a lesson to all oppressive vegetable sellers.' |

While we're at it, I want to se Neville do some spectacular stuff this year. I mean he's really starting to prove himself, and it'd be cool if he defeats Snape in a fight or something.
OH NO! What if he's one of the people that'll die! ![]() -------------------- |

That title sounds a little cheesy. Two characters dying would not surprise me after all if the storyline goes like it is (Voldemort has to die). So in the battles before there should be a lot of injuries and death.
I have mixed feelings about the book myself. The seventh book coming out means that i get to hear the ending. At the same time it means there are no more books coming out. I really don't want the story to end. ![]() BTW- Neville is awesome! -------------------- Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. That final passage, where Rowling hints that the next novel could span more than just
a mere year at Hogwarts, and leaving the time-defined halls of their school---all that has me hoping for a seventh book wherein the characters all get the chance to grow up, significantly. Especially Ron. I've been a little disappointed at how much a secondary character he's become, given his impact in their first adventure. And I'm big into the Hermione-Harry love triangle, too (of course, watching the movies after reading furthers such beliefs). As an Auror, there's a whole lot that Harry would be able to do; no longer dependent on those more powerful or experienced than himself to save him so he can save the day. -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

It says on Rowling's website that she has another name for the book in mind, one that she thought of while showering on a trip to America
![]() She didn't say what that second name was, but she said it would also make a good title, and is putting a lot of thought on if she wants to change it. -------------------- |

Quote Harry's going to die, it's so obvious, etc., etc. Apparently, Rowling was asked during an interview which characters she would like to have dinner with in real life. After naming the main three (Harry, Ron, and Hermione), she hesitated and asked if she was allowed to invite characters who would be dead by the end of the series before listing any more. That would seem to imply that all three main characters are going to make it. -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |
