This was an awesome CoN Contest, I pumped up for another! Ya'll all did a good job! Sorry laszlow, I never did see Inque around, and it probably was because you didn't post very much.

I saw chou about 75% of the time (who couldn't? You did good kara!)

I saw Green Mage 19% of the time (but you did good del.)

I saw KK about 5% of the time (I was convinced with Neal though, you fooled me.)

I saw Inque about 1% of the time (Now that I mention it, I do believe I saw you laszlow once or twice, maybe, but didn't pay much attention because Inque didn't appeal to me. I never would have guessed though that he was a fake because there are a lot of people that come here and just post once or even twice and we never see them again.)

Anyways, this was good! Sadly, I don't remember any of my answers and that means I don't even know if I even had one right! I wish I could remember.... sad.gif

So, kara..what you should've done for chou was keep a count of how many times you were told to shut up, or as I think Dragon Fire put it, swallow a knife, then rubbed it in our faces saying like "you told a fictional person to shut up 100 times" or something. I really would've never guessed you were chou.

Neal. Kimono Kitsune...wow. I really would've expected someone with more time on their hands for KK. Fantastic job anyway. And it hadn't even occurred to me that KK wouldn't be a girl..

Del and Green Mage. I put Mr Thou as my guess for GM, but I almost did put you. The only thing that stopped me was that Mr Thou is a mod of the FF7 forum and GM seemed to be FF7 inclined. Meh.

As for lasz and inque, I got an excuse for you not posting much. You can say you were too busy keeping the CoNtest together to post and give more detail to him! Yeah..that's it..

Amazing job, all you guys. And good work ZX and Nyte. I know I posted here before, but now I had more time, so...congratulations.

I didn't ever give KK a gender (I actually decided not to decide for myself even, so there isn't even an answer that I've just hidden from you all) and I never ended a sentence with anything besides an emoticon or an exclamation point. I had it be very self-righteous when it came to morals - the whole sex before marriage thing, as well as pornography - because I gave it a past.

That's weird! KK always came across to me like a girl...

Hmm...Karabeth, did you change chou's gender from "female" to "unspecified" to make guessing harder? And why did you set it to "female" in the first place?

The funny thing I thought Neal was chou and Kara was Kimono...

Ah well, wonder what you guys will think up next year?

In retrospect, it's kind of embarrassing that I let someone on the internet get under my skin so easily. Especially to the point that every response of mine to said character had to include "swallow a knife". I think Kara should win an Oscar for her performance of chou.

I actually only saw two or three posts from KK or Inque during the time of the prank and had to search all their posts once the cat was out of the bag on the CoNtest. I don't think I would've ever got it regardless.

I had a plan for Green Mage. He'd be quite transparent when you had all the facts, a little too liberal, insufficently conservative, and babble on and on about irrelvant things and make no real sense. His sums would not add up, his coherency would be poor.

In short, he was based on something. The Scottish Green Party. Little of what he said, I agreed with in whole.

Oh no... I really shouldn't have kept up the "she" and "her" of KK. Sorry Neal. At least I wasn't the only one. You were a little bit feminine though - in a good way.

Don't feel bad. I attempted ambiguity since there was no real answer.

chou was also based on a few different people.  Stephen Colbert (listed in chou's profile as an interest; that should have been a big clue that chou was a fake)

I thought about that, but chou was also vehemently anti-religious despite his otherwise ultra-conservative rhetoric. It didn't surprise me that he might like Stephen Colbert. I figured he was just some really confused teenager.

And I have a hard time believing he wasn't based off of goz (may he R.I.P.).

I can't help it if people want to assume that an arrogant, argumentative, idiotic, reactionary, oblivious, and in almost every practical way offensive joke account is based on a particular person. Since chou wasn't based on Goz and had almost nothing in common with him, I really don't feel responsible for what you choose to believe.

Goz is smart and religious without being insanely (and pointlessly) patriotic. The only thing in common between chou and Goz was that chou didn't use caps.

Yeah, I still believe Chou was based off of me from when I first joined the forums, but pushed to the extreme.

that about sums up how my first posts came across to other people, and I was definitely oblivious to that back then.
Oh and don't bother going back and reading my firsts posts, it'll only give you a headache, I didn't revise, typed thoughts right when they came to mind, and of course that resulted in me looking like an idiot.

The only reason I assumed he was based on a particular person is because you said he was based on a particular person, two in fact.

Don't feel responsible at all. In fact, I don't expect you to be. Not after seeing the bad side of people that chou brought out. And not after goz, who you're in sudden adminiration of, gets banned as a result of assuming the same thing as me.

You're right, goz wasn't half as bad as chou. In fact, despite my disagreements with him, he was one of my favorite people to debate on these forums. And now that what I see as a sick joke has ultimately ended up in this, I get the feeling I won't be douching up these forums anymore either. So I hope you enjoyed your joke.

If you're going to let something petty that has absolutely nothing to do with you bring you down, then goodbye. If only you knew exactly what transpired so you could make an educated decision about all this, but that's confidential and has been over the entire course of Goz's account here. You're a good poster and it sucks to see the inevitable exit of a career jerk take you along with it.

If I'm remembering right, since the CoNtest was so long ago, I had Neal right, and everyone else were my second choices. After going through Green Mage's posts, I thought Del S being it would be too obvious, so I refused to put him. I figured chou as a goz parody, and my thought process of choosing of that person was "who hates goz the most?" I guess I for some reason eliminated Kara as a participant early in the process of choosing, and ended up with slim pickins. Though, if I hadn't, I probably would have gone with kara. Though she says goz had nothing to do with the formation of chou, so that's kind of a weird coincidence.
