All the stores are sold out. Amazon and eBay are selling them for far too much (500 bucks, that's twice what I'm supposed to be paying). Now I feel like the only one without TP. Where can I get one NOW and BEFORE JANUARY? -CSM

The Toys R' Us in Asheville, NC had several Wii's and PS3's in stock today. I was actually quite surprised to see the 2 Wii's there on the shelf.

Schmeh. I think I've got just enough money scraped out to buy one, but I don't see the point when the only game that looks even half like an actual game is Legend of Zelda, then I don't see much point in spending copius amounts of cash on a console with one game.
When they release some more games, and lower the price, then I'll get it. XBox 360 = Plain retarded PS3 = I buy a game console solely for Final Fantasy? No thanks, I can managed with the games I already have, thank you -------------------- |

Wii sports looks pretty repetative, and the other games looks like they didnt get worked on for long enough time imo! I might get it aswell once super smash bros. brawl, and the new mario stuff gets out! Hooray for online super smash brothers ![]() -------------------- All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Broccoli to die. |

I'm personally looking forward to seeing how the new Metroid turns out. Zelda does indeed look like Game of the Year material already. There are lots of titles on the Wii to get excited about, in my opinion. I was discussing with my wife last night how Wii sports could be the key that finally gets her into gaming. Previously the closest I've come to something she liked was Mortal Kombat Tetris.

Don't knock Wii Sports until you've tried it man. It's simple, but incredibly fun. Particularly Tennis and Boxing. As you play you get skill level too, so the computer gets harder accordingly. At first in boxing I could just JAB JAB JAB JAB JAB into oblivion. Now I have to actually block and predict attacks so I can counter. Think Punchout without the special moves.

If you don't have any advice on where to get one for a decent price in the next couple days, I don't think it really helps the original poster.
