Hey, here's something interesting on Final Fantasy VI Advance. It would make the rumor almost true if "he" (hehehe) wasn't in it.

Enjoy!! biggrin.gif

Heh, interesting. That's the second hack I've seen of Kefka and Leo. Also found the Gilgamesh fight on there.

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere, but here's a two-part video of the battle against Czar Dragon:

Looks like the Czar can pull a Magus, switching between all eight elements. Also looks like somehow or other the player made himself damn near invulnerable (and he has a fetish for Superballs).

I'm not sure if these reports are true, because many people know how to hack systems, and I have only seen one site other than CoN that has info on new editions to the rerelease. I am also skeptical that, if these rumos are true that they will only be for the Japanese version of the game.

Nevertheless, if the rumors are true, it will be interesting to see. I don't necessarilly like the idea of reviving General Leo or Gestahl, but in the end, based on what I have heard, nothing is actually changed. The Pheonix can revive people, as seen in the game, no matter how long they stay revived(because we don't know if he stays revived), and there are ghosts in the game. Why can't Gestahl be one?

Most importantly is the fact that it will be fun to play with them as characters. I have hoped that they would expand on both characters' backgrounds, and maybe explain how the empire was created, and how Gestahl rose to power.

I've never gotten far in the game(the farthest I've gotten in this game is about to the Magitek Factory, I believe) and hopefully, with FF6a, I'll be able to complete this game. I love the game, but I never found the time for it. pinch.gif I'm actually replaying a rom at the moment of FF3.

Nintendo Power just released the first screenshots of what looks like the American version of the game (Nintendo Power releasing something we don't know? OMG biggrin.gif).

"The script has been reworked". That's NP speaking, but the screenshots attest to it. Atma Weapon is now Ultima Weapon, which makes sense, but may leave some veterans of the game disenchanted. All the characters seem to have kept their FF3US name, which makes sense. Names like Tina sound exotic to Japanese gamers, but over here they're common. So we won't be seeing Mash and Lock in this version.

Anyways, this could all be from an early demo translation, but I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing such changes in the final version. Other things that'll likely be translated? Cure 2 -> Cura, etc.

I can't believe I'm getting so excited over a video game! But I'm really anxious to play this through again.

Yes, it's a given they'll properly translate the spell names, since they did that for all the other ports/remakes. tongue.gif I figured they wouldn't do the same for the characters' names, but they probably want to be consistent with the older versions (as they did with FFIV and V Advance, Kain/FuSoYa/Krile etc.).
